I don’t really feel the chemistry between these two either. I loved the leads in director Ahn’s other work sooo much that I thought I’d love this couple too but… it just didn’t work for me.

2025-05-29 00:07:08 +0000 UTCthe thing is, this cultural difference isn’t foreign to me (my partners family and a lot of my friends families still hold the same traditional values). it’s just baffling regardless, it’ll never be a concept i could wrap my head around even though i’m exposed to it in the real world

2025-05-28 21:02:07 +0000 UTCA big part of our confusion probably comes from the cultural differences — we're Europeans, after all :) As a French person, I really don’t understand how so many people are involved in a couple’s relationship. For us, parents aren’t there to approve or choose our partners. But I guess in Korea, it’s a very different story. You mentioned at the start of the show that you watched half of Something in the Rain. Since it’s from the same director as One Spring Night, I’d say — if you’re already feeling this way about OSN, maybe don’t finish it :) Something in the Rain is even worse. It took all of my willpower to get through it. Just imagine how you feel about the FL’s dad in OSN… and multiply that by 100.
