I’m from a brown family where I grew up thinking it’s never ok to ever question or argue with elders over anything and that all parents ultimately look for their kid’s best interests always. But that’s soo naive and wrong. I’ve seen firsthand how some don’t really care and ugh. The dads in this show (apart from ML) are just despicable characters to me. I think there’s one moment in the coming episodes where you’ll hate FL’s dad more than anything.

There's 3 constants in Kdrama (maybe Cdrama) : - Parents are often the worst, sometimes only one of them. They are the source of all the drama, and mostly the reason everything goes wrong. - Dont trust the white truck when you are going to cross the road. - The leads probably met when they were young.
