I believe his son became attached to her because he had never seen his father with a woman before. Jiho rarely dates, and he has never introduced anyone to his son. The boy has no memory of his mother, and the first woman he interacts with brings him dinosaur books he adores. Moreover, she treated him with genuine kindness when they met. He probably seeks some attention from a woman who is not his grandmother. The first thing he said to her was "are you my mom ?".

So much awkwardness and toxicity trapped in this little show and it has only been 6 episodes so far! I managed through my first watch by not necessarily rooting for the leads...it was more like waiting and watching for the next car crash and see how it plays out lol
