A little late to the party, but just binged the 5 eps and would like to join the discussion. I think that since they were into a relationship for that long it was kind of hard for the FL to just give it up although she figured it was basically dead. Coupled with the examples of the rest of her family she may have felt she was better of than them, so she couldn't breakup without some kind of reason or catalyst. Also I feel like she tried to fight what she felt for Jiho in the first several episodes, cause there were multiple situations where if something reminded her of Jiho, she actually chose to call/go to Giseok in a bid to snuff the feelings off, but the kdrama universe worked it's magic and just made her run into Jiho anyway. Still, not trying to defend her though as the best thing for all would have been to call it quits then but instead she hesitated, dragging on the old relationship while still going overboard with Jiho during the last couple of eps

But I agree, this episode shows things that should have been brought up much earlier. It would have made her behavior easier to understand. Perhaps that was why it was easier to enjoy this the 2nd time since I already know some important aspects of the relationships. Your reactions also make it enjoyable to watch again!
