2025-09-02 20:05:10 +0000 UTCif she was playing a stand alone character in the younger years it wouldn’t have been weird but they didn’t also bring in a younger actor for the ml. at the end of the day the ml doesn’t look like a teenager anymore (by my opinion) and does look like a grown man. putting them side by side like that and having to imagine that they’d soon end up together was weird to me. luckily this didn’t affect my overall viewing experience as i lovvveeeee this drama but it was definitely something to overcome. hope you enjoy watching with me regardless :)

The actress also played a younger version of Zhao Lusi in Who Rules the World (2022) (before Hidden Love (2023)), she recently played another younger version of her in The Story of Pearl Girl (2024). So she's here for viewers consistancy, and the ages weren't totally off since they often said in Hidden Love that she was small for her age.
