"Speak Now" Concert/Tour REACTION!!

Comments

I love Taylor but am not really into concerts .and didn't plant to listen to the concerts.similar to you I can't follow along on new songs because of the background noise but I love your take on the songs so I watched this post and am so I glad I really enjoyed the whole experience...Thanks so much

Jo Anne Romero

Went to her show at the Verizon Center in DC! We had nosebleeds but it felt so interactive and fun you didn’t even notice. One of my most favorite concert experiences. Our crowd was so loud we were outdoing the speakers 😆

Laura

Came from YouTube to support you here girl! Can’t wait to continue watching your journey 🙏😍

Melissakay503

Oh nooo haha

Regina Vaughan

I finally gave in and subscribed because i needed to see this reaction. and now i'm broke 😭😭😭

I think you should react to Reputation before watching Miss Americana. Before going into Reputation, I would suggest just reading the Reputation prolouge (you can find it on genius) and just knowing that Reputation came after Kanye released the edited phone call with Taylor, which made Taylor look like a liar and started the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty. She disappeared for a whole year after that and then came back with Reputation.

Grace

I cannot wait to see you watch the eras tour after all the albums ! Such an amazing production. Love your videos and can’t wait to see the next album reactions

HotDog

Oh and the fearless song was a mashup: "Fearless" / "I'm Yours" / "Hey, Soul Sister" and she also did a cover of the song Drops of Jupiter by a band Train

Danny

I would wait for both reputation and lover until you watch Ms Americana. The documentary covers the creation of both albums

NM

I just needed to see this reaction, I couldn’t miss it so now I’m broke 😂 jk I really like your energy 👍🏼

Danny

Remember that Taylor has been one of the most slut-shamed women in America (and even beyond). We're still hearing complaints about how she dates too many men in 2025. Is it any wonder she wouldn't think the 'mattress' line is good anymore? IDK if you've gotten to know the Enchanted 'lore' yet. The guy she wrote it about- Owl City's Adam Young- actually recorded a version of the song himself, changing the last lines to be something like, 'Taylor, I wish you knew/I was enchanted to meet you too.' (According to him, after the album came out, Taylor herself texted him, only saying 'track 9'). They never ended up dating though, I think he said they exchanged emails but Taylor stopped responding at some point. She either didn't feel the vibe anymore or felt overwhelmed, and ghosted him. Anyway, I've heard what Adam did being described as 'cringe' but I've always thought it was really sweet of him. It takes guts to put yourself out there and he did. I think the Back to December+Apologize+You're not Sorry mashup was a nice way for Taylor to 'update' the story. She probably sent the song to/had a conversation with the subject of the song (Taylor Lautner) after the album coming out, and his response ended up being like 'It's too late to apologize and I'm not sorry'.

Audrey

So excited for the day you post your eras tour reaction

Miles

The Miss Americana documentary I feel should be part of the Lover Album reaction. I would go and say you should watch it first before reacting to the album. The documentary is very intertwined with the album and where she was mentally when it was being created. Especially when she was coming off reputation and trying to shed the burden of opinions that surrounded reputation album.

I think it's time to dive into the Fearless album, there are several songs that she sang on this tour that belong to that album, for me it has a special place because of several songs that describe the experience of being a teenager, Fearless has its charm <3

María CR

True. She has backing track and she will sometimes sing over it but she is never lip syncing.

Aastha Sharma

She NEVER LIPSYNCS. She makes a point of singing and playing live. So get that thought of your mind.

I'd react to the Rep album first, then the MVs and the tour, and then move on to Miss Americana.

Ari

The song where she was asking "Did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there" was actually a cover of Drops Of Jupiter by the band Train! She was really in her cover era back then lol

Deanna Smith

The "hey" during Fearless was from Hey Soul Sister. That damn ukulele song was everywhere around that time lol.

Comfortably Plump

Definitely gonna need you to watch Journey to Fearless as well. Then you'll really know pretty much all the classics.

Comfortably Plump

The instrument during Our Song/Mean is actually called a Ganjo (as in "guitar/banjo). Where a real banjo has four strings, a ganjo has six strings, like a guitar. They're basically like a cop out lol. You get to look and sound like you're playing the banjo without actually knowing how to play one. Fun and creative way for a guitar player like Taylor to mix it up a little on stage. I hope she brings it back one day. She should bring back the ukulele too!

Comfortably Plump

During the Fearless song, she mashed it up with Jason Mraz' famous song: "I'm Yours", that's why you recognized that specific part.

Melody P

It will be so fun to watch you react to rep tour and the eras tour (if you decide to). The growth between all of them is incredible!!

Samra

PLEASE 1) Reputation Stadium Tour (2017-2018) then 2) Miss Americana (2020). I don't know why anyone would suggest otherwise. This is how we experienced them in the world so it makes sense. Plus, clips of Rep tour in the Documentary would be spoilers.

False Dog

the documentary firsttt

I love seeing you watch your first tour. Speak now was an amazing tour yet every tour she does gets better and better. You should totally check out the 1989 tour and rep tour after those albums before eras so you can see her evolution. The red tour is great but its not officially anywhere to find (just clips of each song). Unless any patreon has it for you because it was a dvd release at the time not streaming. The fearless tracks you didn’t know you will now recognize later. And our song on the banjo is from her debut album. She wrote that for her 9th grade talent show. Also one of the guitar songs on the tree was a cover. Drops of jupiter is the song and was popular at this time. She did so many different covers on this tour. So fun that it was your first tine seeing you belong with me live. You’ll notice as you go along that some of those old classics is basicly a given that she plays at least a little bit every tour. Ohhh and the your reaction when haunted came was the best ever! I have that live version on my spotify even if its stolen cause its just so goood! Btw the speak now live cd is on spotify just so you know!

Isabella Peterson

i would say miss Americana then rep so you can understand what pulled her to make it, but rep came out first so there isn’t a wrong/right answer however you feel but def miss americana before lover lol

lea

The Lavender Haze music video with the coy fish was actually a hint at the time to the fans that Speak Now Taylor’s Version was coming out soon. Same with the Bejeweled Music video. That one had tons of Easter eggs

Veronica Key

Drops of Jupiter by train is the song she sang on the tree

Tiffani Nicole

The koi fish in lavender haze was a Easter egg bc speak now tv was dropped I think 4 months later

Tiffani Nicole

I agree but there are also a lot of clips of songs from Reputation in the documentary so I think you’d also be fine listening to it and then watching the documentary. But the doc does give a lot of context to the songs on Reputation so you’ll be fine either way? 😅

Carol

Yes fearless is the title track! Also that hey eh eh you heard is bc she did fearless with a mashup of I’m yours by Jason mraz

Tiffani Nicole

I came in a lot later, and didn't check out live performances until I'd already heard and enjoyed a few albums. For some reason, one of first ones I saw was Enchanted from this tour, even though I hadn't actually listened to the full album at this point, and it hit me hard. That moment right at the start when she first sings, it was enchanting to meet you, and then very deliberately looks right into the camera??? I was shook. Then I saw Mine, where she does the handheart, like you pointed out, and times it so the whole audience (including me) looks straight at her, locked in, while singing, she is the best thing that's ever been mine, and then she sings it right back at us?? All I did was smile, cause she's a mastermind. That crowd connection, like she was saying, "yes I absolutely do want your love, I'll work for it, I'll cherish it, and honor it, and I'll reflect it back at you" and how she, you said it, somehow unites the crowd but also makes everyone feel appreciated as an individual - that's not a trick, that's art. Before, I was already quite taken with the quality of the music, the wit and the bravery of the lyrics, the versatility - she was one of a huge number of musicians I like a lot. But for me, this crowd connection aspect was the missing puzzle piece, turned me instantly from a fan of her music into a swiftie for life.

faoat

For back to December she did a mashup with a song from fearless called you’re not sorry!

Muhammad Khan

You should do the documentary first, you'll get to know everything that had happened leading upto that point and why she had to make an album like Reputaion. Taylor was definitely born to be a performer, she seems to be having fun on stage and she puts so much effort and attention to detail to make sure the visuals match the vibe of a song perfectly. Most of her band members and now backup singers have been with her for over a decade.

Aastha Sharma

Also, I would say react to reputation first. It’ll help you see the full picture when you watch miss Americana! And you also get some footage of her making the reputation songs! It makes sense to listen to rep first and then watch miss americana.

Muhammad Khan

I hope one day you can get around to Gracie Abarms!

Muhammad Khan

Oh my god it’s here!!!!!
