I don’t have any strong preference, but I was leaning toward keeping Elias a good person, just more pragmatic—Lawful Neutral, basically. While the polls will help me make a decision, that doesn’t mean the most voted option will be the one that happens. Feel free to share your opinion in the comments; it will help me make some changes. Who knows, maybe someone will change my mind.
Now for the second poll, I know some people think Elias is a goody two-shoes and all that, but while he won’t become ruthless or anything like that, learning about the supernatural world is a good opportunity for some character growth.
This poll will focus specifically on our MC and Issei… since he’s a problem for Elias, lol.
Like I said, Elias is a good person. He can be ruthless against his enemies, but he won’t go around harming innocents just because it might benefit him in the future.
For example, he wouldn’t kill Issei before canon—not because he doesn’t want to, but because that’s just not who he is.

I highly doubt that knowledge of Bleach will help him. In DxD they can work with souls in the same way and Azazel has literally had hundreds of years to research. If he couldn't find a way to extract without the host dying, then Elias definitely won't be able to do it.

But in his core, Issei is an unrepentant pervert that should be in jail instead of school, and that is a problem in case, if the girls join rias. I have multiple plot points planned depending on what I end up choosing, and if he ends alive as a male, he will return later on, probably. But no, I won’t bash him. Elias would feel deeply uncomfortable leaving the girls in rias peerage if is the same as canon. For example, one idea would be to leave him alive with his sacred gear under another, more strict devil, after obtaining some favors for leading said devil to him. But… that would be a waste since his sacred gear is op and could be used by the mc and his group. Riddling him with curses would be bad, and Elias would not do that, so that’s out. I need to think about different options, that’s why I made the polls. As for obtaining sacred gears without stealing them… hmm, hard to do. I only know of walburga’s. Incinerate anthem can leave its wielder on its own accord, and then, probably making a deal with Azazel, but he already stole them. Wizards, in this fic, won’t born with a sacred gear.

2025-02-11 03:27:56 +0000 UTCAs of this moment, he doesn’t have it, so the Boosted Gear will be lost until another person gets it. There was a perk he received a while back, but I didn’t add it at the time because it would’ve messed with a future plot point. Since he got it through luck, it doesn’t feel like I’m handpicking the perk, so I can give it to him now. The perk gives him knowledge about souls (it’s a science perk from Bleach, focused on the soul) so he can steal the Sacred Gear but keep him alive. If he does steal it, he won’t be the one using it, but the girls will—probably Iris, as it suits her more than the rest.

His current power is already potentially absurd growth wise, earns him enough attention and likely enemies that becoming the Red Dragon Emperor feels like unnecessarily adding to the pile. That and the potential Fate(Arturia) roll, if it exists could add an interesting plot thread if a Dragon Core trait does exist in the potential rolls.
