Afterword and thanks

I just posted the final files for Flying Swords 1. People can download the book early. Then when the book technically publishes in February, the price will go up to the Amazon price (5.99). But this is the afterword with my gratitude toward those of you who have supported me. Please let me know if I have a name wrong.

I have recently watched far too many K-dramas and C-dramas because they are just fun. So even though I already have too many series and too many ideas going, I decided to play in a fun new sandbox. I can’t pretend to know anything about the culture, so I apologize if I’ve mangled anything. I’ve tried to hide my ignorance by creating a fantasy version of China that steals anything interesting from historical periods. If that doesn’t work, remember this is told from Leander’s point of view, and he is clearly ignorant of the culture that has adopted him—see the translation mistakes he makes for evidence of that. I do think this will have a future sequel (assuming it makes enough money to recoup the cost of hiring my most excellent editor. (Hi, Sue!) There are many secrets left to explore. Xi and Auntie Daiyu in particular both know more than they have said.

But I wouldn’t be able to write books so far outside my normal stomping grounds if it wasn’t for the support of my Patreon.
