Publishing

I am pulling together Earth Fathers and Flying Swords for publication. I am debating between doing a late January and late February release and doing late February and late March, which might give me more time to get word out to review sites. I am going to put them up for sale here as soon as I have the formatting done, so you guys can get e-versions early. So I am doing the ticky-tacky parts of publishing. One of those is the blurb. I am struggling on this. Can ya'll look at this?

- - - - - - - - - -

Leander Moore grew up in a group home in a world that hates magic users, but he was no fairy tale hero able to overcome adversity. He became a bitter man who used a sharp tongue to drive everyone away. He might have died as alone as he lived, only he learned the child of the one man he ever loved is in terrible danger. Leander's position in a criminal gang makes it impossible for him to save anyone, even himself. But for Finn's child, he has to try. So he kidnaps the child and flees back to China where he once studied magic and had a secret romance with a handsome man from magical China.

But surviving in China means dealing with his hatred of humanity and himself in order to navigate a world where he is the outsider. He has to survive a curmudgeonly pillmaster, an eccentric auntie, an ex-lover seeking immortality, and mythological creatures. Life is even more complicated when a childhood friend who knows all Leander's sins reappears, claiming he wants to help. But others seem to have followed and now danger stalks the new life Leander has tried to create. Leander has to learn to fight back, and for a man who has always hidden or fled, that is a terrifying truth.

And I spent time redoing the cover a bit, leaving more space around the title.

So, any suggestions with the blurb would be... lovely!

Damn! I keep posting before I mean to! So, as I was saying, I'm a fan of well written fantasy, PN, and scifi MM romance, and I'd buy this book even if I didn't know you. Just want to say you're welcome and thanks for the chance to help you. Also very excited about the possibility of a sequel. There's lots of room for at least a couple. Your worlds are so beautifully crafted that a sequel is always desired. I want sequels for Regi and Earth Fathers and Liam and Ondry and how about Desert World? Those books were great!

You have 3 sentences starting with "But" fairly close together; I would clean that up a bit. I like the "But for Finn's child" sentence; it is impactful. Definitele keep that one. The "So he kidnaps the child" sentence is kind of clunky; I'm struggling with that one, too. How about So he kidnaps the child and flees to the magical kingdom of China where he once had a secret romance with a handsome man"? Even now, though, it's pretty good. I'm a fan of fantas
