#FantasyMap FIRST POLL
Added 2024-08-26 14:43:49 +0000 UTCI’m excited to launch our very first poll on fantasy maps, and I’d love your input to help shape the future of this feature!
As you know, the Adventurer Tier has recently shifted to include fantasy maps instead of tokens. This change, which you voted for, will let us explore new and exciting map designs that complement our existing battlemaps. Whenever possible, I’ll reference existing battlemaps to create cohesive and immersive cartography.
This poll is your chance to tell me what kind of maps you’re most interested in. I want to understand your preferences and see if map variants would be useful to you.
Please take a moment to vote for your preferred options. So, what you'd like to see.
Your feedback will be invaluable as I work to tailor the maps to your needs and interests!
Options Explained:
Night/Day Variants
Maps that change based on the time of day. For example, a bridge that’s visible only during daylight or an area that reveals hidden features only under moonlight.Ruins/Wreckage Variants
Maps with time-sensitive elements. Think of a small town swallowed by a river or a haunted version of a location that looks whole but reveals hidden damage or devastation, like a city block after a war.Seasonal Variants
Maps that depict different weather or seasons. For example, a snowy hill isolated in winter and a lush, crossable river with a bridge in spring. These variants help show the passage of time and add atmosphere to your game sessions.Unlabeled Maps
This option is about whether you prefer maps with labeled locations or if you’re fine with me choosing names. Do you like having place names on the map, or would you prefer a blank slate to customize yourself?Low/High Quality
Understanding your preference for map quality and size. While my goal is to provide high-quality maps suitable for printing (at least a small poster size, 9x13 inches), I also need to consider reduced sizes and resolutions for virtual tabletops to ensure quick loading and sharing online.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping guide this new direction.
