Hey there! As you're aware, we encountered a tie in our latest poll, and since I couldn't decide between the two options (Rune Crypt and Echoes of the Abyss), I decided to merge the concepts. Thus, the Abyssal Crypt set was born—a horrific abyssal ambiance that also serves as a rune crypt fueled by necromantic energy. Enjoy the experience of climbing on the flesh or sliding into the cavities... Best of luck!
You can downlod the reward just below. Make sure to click/tap on your Tier to let the download start! While, if you want to know more about the map, keep reading this post!
PLEASE NOTE: This map is intended to be 45x60 but in compatible at 36x48, 30x40 and 24x32 too.

There's a lot to share about this release. As you already know, I like to blend themes when there's a tie in a poll. I truly hope this time resonates with your preferences because I'm quite proud of what I've crafted. Even though I've generated fewer variants, my intention was to design a map with the flexibility for two distinct stages of play.
About the map
So, you can sense from the atmosphere that we've ventured beyond our original plan. Everything here is shrouded in darkness, and the scent of iron fills the air. As you walk, you can feel the bones crackling under your boots, and bizarrely, tongues of flesh move as if alive—strange, considering nothing here appears related to life.
In the Skull map, you can climb over flesh bridges and jump on cracked teeth to descend to the Arena. Picture a colossal skull holding its head in its hands, a symbol of suffering, and piling the head on the spine as if seeking relief.
You can also slide inside the nasal cavity to descend, but be prepared to time your jumps because the Spine Arena is treacherous, and additional holes indicate danger—while you climb down, creatures might be climbing up toward you.
In the Spine Arena, you'll discover the Rune Crypt, a magical place where the appearance shifts the moment you approach the ground. Runes blur and settle as the magic stabilizes. You're surrounded by moving bone pieces, and four of them house pulsing altars of flesh. Next to each altar, you'll find a tomb with engraved runes. Be cautious, as attempting to open these tombs activates a system that allows the contained blood to flow out and fill the sculpted runes. What happens next? Your destiny is in your hands.
I hope you enjoy this map. Let me know in the comments what you think and if you have suggestions for improvement—I'm all ears! As always, thank you for your continuous support.
This isn't the most opportune time to be a cartographer. Despite the rise of AI, people are leaving D&D, and new games without grid maps are emerging. But I'm not worried. I'm a fan of this ambiance, and I know I'll continue playing this and other games, creating maps for my stories. Still, I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey. I started playing table RPGs about 20 years ago, and it meant a lot to me. Being an adult now, sustaining a livelihood from my passion exceeds any expectation I could have had. So once again, Thank you. I hope you have a fantastic game!
