About the map

This scene immerses you in the astral atmosphere. Everything here appears aseptic, perhaps due to the vibrant brightness of the galaxy.

In this mini-map, you can activate the smaller portals to trigger the larger one. The set includes a lever token, two rock arches, and the rune circle. All of these elements give you the flexibility to set a trap for your game. For instance, imagine requiring two different players to activate the levers simultaneously, splitting the party and initiating a fight on different platforms.

The map is divided into three main areas of different elevations. You have large crystal-like isles, resembling half a pearl with a mystical nebula inside. While you can see the sky within them, replicating the surroundings, there's a subtle difference. This is when you notice the ground crumbling. Those half-spheres are not just ornamental; the rocks start floating and aligning, forming eight different groups, while the half-sphere transforms into the nebula body of a spider made of galaxies. It's time to roll for initiative.

Let's have a heart-to-heart. I need to share that I'm not completely over the moon about this release, and that's why I'm running a bit behind schedule. I had a bunch of ideas for this map, trying to blend the space theme with a rune platform. What you see now isn't the original concept; it's one of the ideas I decided to run with.

To be candid, the puzzle part didn't quite pan out as I hoped. It took a different turn, prompting me to set aside the original idea and rework it for a more satisfying representation. It might sound a bit dramatic, but I always want to be upfront with you. There's this weight I feel with each release because my aim is to convey stories through my drawings. When it doesn't feel like I'm delivering my best, it's a tough pill to swallow. However, some friends who are seasoned game masters gave positive feedback on this map, giving me the courage to share it with you.

Rest assured, the original Starlight Lock Concept is still in the works, and I'm genuinely excited about finding that missing piece that will make me proud to share it with all of you.
