Quick guide to Spankytown college
Added 2022-04-25 02:51:23 +0000 UTCWhile the game is uploading to google, (it says it will take 8 hours, thanks to the SLOW internet here in Mexico) I'm writting this quick guide, because the game won't be easy. First, lets put the 4 primary objectives.
1. THE SCHOOL GENIUS.


Some actions give or take genius points. Succesfully sneaking, peeping, robbing or accusing somebody give 1, 3 or 5 points, depending on the difficulty. Failing gets negative points, also as doing something stupid, like making a tantrum during a punishment and getting extra time of the paddle.
2. THE POPULAR STUDENT

Having good relationships with all students is the key. Actions give or take popularity points with each of the 4 NPCs. A succesful flirt with a girl gets into a special scene with her.
3. THE TEACHER'S FAVORITE

There are 2 ways of getting points with Ms. Appleby. The best is by succesfully accusing unruly students, specially by catching the one who robbed the exam. The other way, but is too volatile is in a punishment. Being naughty certainly takes away points.
4. THE REDDEST BUM


This is obvious. The student who receives more times the paddle, will certainly win. The only problem is that red bum points are also awarded to female students who punish naughty boys.
5. THE ABSOLUTE CHAMPION

The total points of the 4 previous rankings, define the absolute champion.
There are 3 difficulty levels. Normal, Hard and Impossible. Normal, 4 weeks, Hard, 3 weeks, Impossible 2 weeks. Days are structured with 3 daily classes and 3 recesses at the end of each class. All action takes place at the recesses where you have 3 turns per recess. Each turn you can perform one single action. So, in normal mode, you'll have 60 turns, 45 on hard and 30 on impossible. It will take around 1-2 hours to finish a single game. To win, well that's another story.
At the end of the game, the monthly exam takes place, and a diploma is awarded to the best students in the 5 categories. According of the number of diplomas you get, a chain of final scenes take place. 1 diploma, 1 final scene, 2 diplomas, 2 final scenes, and so on. Only by achieving the 5 diplomas, you get the 5 scenes that chain the final story.
STRATEGY
The strategy depends on which are your weak areas. For example, try to steal the exam, and then set a trap by putting it on the Favorite teacher leader, and then accusing her (or him). That student will receive a very hard punishment, lose points with Ms. Appleby and also be suspended. The only thing is that you will lose some popularity points and that student will get many red bum points.
That also applies to the punishment scenes from students. If you get a punishment from a female student, she gets red bum points too! If you get an underserved smacked bottom, you have always the option to go to Ms. Appleby and accuse the girl who punished you.
MECHANICS.

Except when talking to a girl to get some popularity points, where the outcome is defined by invisible rolls, everything else is about quick reactions. You will have certain amount of time to do most actions. If you fail, you get negative genius points. For example, sneaking into the girls' room to look for the stolen exam or steal some panties, is too risky, and you will have around 1 to 1.5 seconds before a girl catches you.
BUGS WARNING
Unfortunately, this time there will be bugs (hope not too many). It's because this game has hundreds of branches, and it would take too much time to play all. For example, if you chose to catch a sneaker at the boysroom, there can be 1 to 3 students involved in different actions between them, and each with a different reaction from you. So, if anybody finds a bug, please take a screen picture (if possible) and tell me exactly how and when it happened.
DIFFICULTY WARNING
I honestly don't know how hard or easy this game may be. Like any game, it requires users and their feedback to know it. When I get enought feedbacks, I'll immediately make the required patches until the game is the closest to perfect.

There's only one scene with "invisible" dice roll, and it's when you talk to a girl to get some relationship points. The rest is all about quick reactions and decisions. For example, you're in the girls dressers. If a girl is coming, you have 1 second to chose your action, if you don't then the door opens, Melvin gets panicked and you have another second to press a "hide" button that will appear in the screen at a random place. If you hide, you get 3 genius points. If you fail, the girl catches you, and you lose 3 genius points. If the girl choses to spank you (depends on the girl and her mood), then you would get 3 red bum points and maybe 1 extra friend point with her, because she loves to spank you. Depending on what you need, you can chose to get caught or hide. You can also make NPC's lose genius points by catching them, and some more by accusing them. Also, you can get relationship points if you tell her you caught her and then forgive her.

2022-04-25 13:14:52 +0000 UTCThanks for the guide! One thing though... "Failing gets negative points". I'm not too thrilled to hear that you can lose progress due to RNG. Halting progress for failure is fine but, to revert it? That comes across as an attempt to pad the games overall playtime. Just hope the dice rolls are not as punishing as spankytown! Anyway, I look forward to playing the game later :)
