First of all, thanks for your votes and comments. Those are important feedback of how I'm doing. I'm gonna explain why there's a dice system. I've played several games in the adult genre, and something that made me bored and was too tedious, was to make repetitive stuff on and on and on and on, and that the only way to unlock content was by being at an especific time at an especific spot. (for example, being a 5pm on mondays at the living room to unlock getting laid with the landlady). Some games made it brilliantly, like Summertime saga, where the ambience, images, minigames, make it really funny. But most of all fail (
I remembered playing through all the versions of "Curing my addiction". Great game with great graphics and story when you were unlocking content, but after it, too boring.... and for example their way of unlocking most of content "be at 11pm on wednesdays 10 times in a row to unlock a threesome" was more tedious than anything (I believe that would be more tedious than rolling above 8). I didn't want to make a game where the only challenge is following the walkthrough.
My goal is to make this game addictive, something that would be still playable after you finish it and not a disposable one.
I used this roll dices system emulating the mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons. I know it failed more than succeed, and there's much work to be done to improve the system and making it fun instead of tedious and frustrating. I want this game to be something like the sims in matter of interactions with other chars. In the sims, no matter if you raised all your MC stats to the top, when you meet a new one on the street, and you flirt with her (or him), there's always a chance you fail. Many times she leaves an angers after the second interaction, and not because you did something wrong, but because she had to pee she was hungry, tired or simply in the wrong mood.
That's why I'd like to happen here, a small version of the sims. Let's take for example what happens after you fail at school. You fail the test, you get the paddle. Now, you only have the talking and face slapping, and depending on your luck with dices, you get or not get the same paddling scene. I'd like it to be surprising. Maybe aunt is too angry and punishes you in that precise moment without letting you do anything. Maybe she's in a good mood and lets you speak. Maybe she doesn't appear as always, but surprises you when you're at your room in pee-pee games and smacks you harder. Maybe she tells you: "be at my room at 8 to get your punishment"... and if you don't do as she said, you get double next day before going to school. And of course MC, would be able to interact with chars to get a desired outcome in many circumstances, but like it happens in the sims, success would depend on the other char too. I think that the big difference between the sims and this first version ofspankytown, is that when you're rejected on the sims, you're eager to try again, and it's funny even you fail. In Spankytown, failing the dices has become kind of annoying.
I'm aware some of you would like to skip all that stuff and go directly into the content. For that purpose, I'll add an achievements section, where players would be able to go directly to their preferred scene (previously unlocked) and skip all the process to get it. Also, I'll add a skip scene button, in case there's content you don't like or may become boring.
I have a clear vision of how I'd like this game to be, and this first try is a first stage in my learning process. Thank you all for supporting me, and to compensate it, I'm making the simulators and mini games. These minigames will serve for 2 purposes.
1. Testing new mechanics and stuff that could be implemented in the big game, if you like them.
2. Maybe your membership worth it with monthly fresh new content, instead of having to wait several months for a real update and/or get constant mini updates that only add a new instrascendent little scene.
On the next mini game, I'll try something totally new. As always, I'm open for any critics and suggestions.
