Hi! I don’t know if someone here explained this to you guys, coz I think it’s important that you guys know what the pickled perilla leaves reference was for. The “pickled perilla leaves” is a reference to a nationwide debate in Korea. You can watch the boys in the MBTI Part 2 youtube video where they discuss this. But basically, pickled perilla leaves aka gaetnip (in Korean) are stacked one top of the other and it’s very difficult to peel just one piece. So the question was “What if a friend you were having a meal with had a hard time with peeling a piece of gaetnip, and your partner/significant other helped them. What would your reaction be?” Some say it’s a form of flirting, some say they’re cool with it… and so ARMYs in the video want to eat gaetnip with him and JK says don’t worry I’ll peel it for you. Referencing to him flirting (or not flirting) with ARMYs — which is so cute! So the BTS members debate this in that MBTI youtube video (which I also highly recommend to you guys too — and perhaps maybe taking the MBTI test too before watching it just to see who are your matches with the boys). Jungkook’s reaction to the gaetnip debate was soooo adorable! It’s really a must watch! :D Enjoy!!

Thanks for your reaction to this showcase appreciating the format. This is more a showcase/fan meet that’s why it’s so intimate. He can be so open and casual because he knows true Army would appreciate what he is doing and you guys are true Army! FYI…the captions lag because this translation was being done live in real time. Still with you is a song jk wrote and produced for Army during the pandemic and was released on sound cloud. Magic shop is also written by jk and is a fan song as well…so it’s quite fitting he ends with those songs. This was done shortly before his enlistment…golden came out November 2023 and he went into the military December. This is the last promo he did for the album so really no time to make it into a regular 2 hours concert! I believe he wants to be described as …cool! And he is!

Still with you was a fan song jungkook wrote for army for the first festa during the pandemic. What’s so beautiful about it.. other than his voice and the lyrics.. is that the last concert bts had… it rained… so the whole thing is literally about his sadness of their last concert w army and not knowing it was their last concert… so the words and imagery hit so hard when you realize why he wrote it like this… the poetry is so special… he doesn’t think he has a way with words… but this song and magic shop beg to differ since he wrote and produced them both!

If you sense some sadness in him it's because he knew it would be his last live before enlisting. What JK did here was what he usually does with ARMYs, going live on weverse, chats with us and sings for us. Mind you he never had to plan and perform a whole concert on his own since he was always with the other members. But it was a great format and it suited his style. He looked so comfortable on stage. Btw there were lots of inside jokes in his conversation with ARMYs, like the perilla leaves and 3:37. None of the answers to JK's questions was random, most of them were referring to something that JK likes or has done.

This concert is such a JK thing to do. The venue is small because JK wanted it to be intimate for him to just really connect with ARMY, to say thank you for supporting his solo album and goodbye for a little while. The amazing thing is JK also intended this concert to be free so if you won the raffle then you are attending it live,same with how it is also free online. Indeed, this is a very different setting coz as I have said JK really just wanted to be with ARMY and talk to ARMY like we are all his friends.

This wasn't a normal concert, it was actually an event planned in celebration of JK's first solo album and at the same time it was a kind of way to say goodbye to Army before entering military service. The arena in which he performed is small since he chose for it to be something extremely intimate in such a way that he could be very connected to Army in fact. The people who attended the event did so after winning tickets through an exclusive raffle for Army and on top of that, the event was broadcast in real time to Army around the world for free. The truth is that for those of us who saw it at the time it was something truly special. These are the kind of things that make these guys so special and so different from the rest of the artists. This was a showcase, free to ARMY in 2023 prior to going in the military, so they always do their showcases in smaller venues. There is plenty of them to watch, they have all done them (don’t think J hope did). If you watch Jin event the day after he came out the military, he hugged 1000 fans & when he did his showcase for Echo he did Hi 5 with the fans. I have been to 3 Korean concerts this year including Jin & the audience are all sat down & I did struggle with that I just wanted to get up.

2 days after this Showcase, they announced that JK, Jimin, V and RM are the next to enlist. So he already knew this was his last performance before going to the military. You can feel he’s a bit emotional towards the end. And this mini concert is just like how he does his live on Weverse. He sings, he talks to us, does whatever he wants, etc. Only this time, it’s in person haha! This is JK’s love language. He never fails to connect with Armys. In the most purest/sincerest of ways.

The Golden Live on Stage showcase in Seoul, was held in a smaller arena, with only a few thousand fans present. Tickets weren't sold; they were given through a raffle, making it a true gift to those lucky Armys who could attend.. And for the millions of others, it was streamed live worldwide thru Weverse for free, so no one was left behind. This showed so much who JK is. He wanted it to be about connection. "Magic Shop" is meaningful for JK. He is the main songwriter behind "Magic Shop", together with RM and producer Hiss Noise. It's his first official production contribution to a BTS album. So it's very personal for him. This song is written from BTS to Army. It promises a place ("the magic shop") where fans can trade their sadness, fears or pain for comfort, hope and love. Jungkook has often said that ARMY gives him strength, so he wanted to give something back------ a safe space through music. Magic Shop was included in the 2018 album Love Yourself.

I felt a bit of weird energy for the first time watching your reaction I dont know why, but with a shot glass full of tears and your reaction, Seb and Charlie seemed to not like the song which is fine, but Seb said he couldnt wait to say what he thought when the video ends…? On top of giggling for no reason? Why not be honest on camera? So I dont know what you found about that to be a weird message. I'll add this ‘This symbolises a persons overwhelming accumulation of sadness and pain from heartbreak and loss. The shot glass suggests a deep emotional pain that is full of tears, leading to a desperate attempt to numb the pain through drinking alcohol’ and it would take alot of tears to fill a shot glass, so alcohol in a way replaces the tears in the glass instead. And when he refers to his tears as diamonds and not wanting them to go to waste, its suggesting how precious our tears are, just like diamonds, and that they obviously mean something which is why you wouldnt want to waste them, but sometimes the depth of that pain is too much, and drinking becomes the option as a way to cope and suppress instead. Thats how I interpret it, I dont find the song weird at all.

I had fun watching this showcase again with you. Re-living the moments again through your 'fresh' eyes. I liked that you did not know a few songs and this was your first introduction to them. true with bts it´s so personal we have a very close connection with the members and we know them very well because there is really no filter we know each personality so well that we just know who said who without knowing. it is a close relationship that no other fandom gets from their artist and it is also the same closeness army have with each other because we alone know how it feels to be loved by the artist we all love

Yeah this really was just Jungkook wanting to be close with ARMYs before going and serving in the military. This wasn’t really anywhere close to the end of Covid, it was right before going into the military. I think maybe you guys don’t quite get it yet just how much JK *LOVES* ARMY. Like he’s kind of obsessed. It’s mutual but the man got us tattooed on his knuckles lol this man has an appreciate for ARMY beyond what I’ve ever seen from any artist. That’s what this was. I think he did this in 2023 just before his military service and because it was live streaming from weverse the subtitles were also live from weverse so the subtitles are provided live during the stream, meaning they appear as the artist is speaking.🫶🏼

Perilla leaves are so hard to separate and essentially in Korea your partner / significant other will peal each perilla leaf off for you or peel your shrimp.
