if you think back to the rise of Bangtan there was an interview clip where RM says n.o stands for "no offense" !
it goes hand in hand with the meaning of No More Dream! So, yes, he was smart and good at school and well-liked by teachers and adults for doing well, but he had no dreams or motivations to pursue while growing up (besides when he decided to move to music!). So instead of saying "yes, let's succeed and work hard" they're contemplating what really is the means of this success if you're giving into societal expectations. is it to step on your friends backs in order to reach higher? is it better to just be born into an already established family? is it to internally or externally harm yourself just to get good grades? To some, it may seem worth it, but to those brought down by others injustices it only makes you feel worse about yourself by not being able to do good.
