I will agree that 'The Rise of Bangtan' is such a phenomenally put together documentary. Just to give you a little context. These videos and their views are not exactly correct because the creator pulled all of the videos 2 years ago when some things happened that I won't get into. But she was begged to put them back up, as so many ARMY recommend them to new ARMY and there were also many people in the middle of watching them. She actually never finished the last episode, which is sad. Also, the person actually works in the documentary film industry. If I remember correctly, she said that she started simply because, when she would try to tell her friends about BTS and you know how so many people don't understand why we love them, she would try to explain, but it's just so hard because there's just so much. So, she decided that she had the skills to really tell a narrative that would explain why they are so special and so she set out to do that. I'm honestly not sure when exactly she started the project but it was quite some time ago. I became ARMY in 2021 and she had finished most of it when I arrived. Anyway, that's what I know about her. She did a phenomenal job and has always said she had a lot of help from ARMY. Like it was originally translated into a number of different languages.

to put BTS success into perspective, BTS turned a struggling agency into the biggest label in SK and the 4th largest agency in the world... that is just insane. Bang pd put all of his own money on the line when he turned Big hit into Hybe he could have lost everything but he had faith in BTS and it turned out to be the best thing. he is also one of the riches people in korea now.. just by making 1 popular group.. other agencies has multiple successful artist and they can´t even match half of the money BTS is making. it´s actually insane. korea used to have 3 big agencies known as the big 3. Now they have 1 big one (hybe) and 3 smaller ones lol.

Ever since you left episode Run BTS episode number 63 hanging, with a part 2 pending, I’ve not watched another full reaction since then. I think you guys have faced some somewhat unfair harsh criticism, and have kept my mouth shut. But FGS, what!!!?ll…with the presentation of content recently…after SO MUCH subscriber response. Talk about losing momentum. 🤯Why would you think it’s OK to watch part one and leave part two pending for weeks!!? I can’t quite figure out you guys. I have subscribed for months and keep my mouth shut and just try to enjoy your own chaotic discovery of BTS. I am a firm believer that everyone’s journey is unique and should be respected. While I don’t agree with everyone demanding that you come up with a schedule, please release content in an order that makes sense! I will just keep an eye out and hope that you guys start to understand algorithms and expectations of a channel that you’ve created and monetized. I’m not sure why this is my watershed moment, but just please bring some structure and maturity to what you are impressively presenting. I also hope that you maintain who you are also as individuals in this journey. You all seem like really good guys. BTS were always very outspoken about social topics - I am not sure if you understand the gravity of that. No idol group did that before them. BTS were almost the first group, since basically KPOP was invented, to not focus on a squeaky clean image but to show realaness. And commenting on what Namjoon said in the end like making great music is the way to repay. Almost all ARMYS developed an unconditional love for BTS. Not in a cringe way, but BTS gifts ARMY songs, and to thank them for the gift, ARMY does the utmost to repay the members and do everything to spread their message and music, because ARMY dont know how else to repay them, without wanting anything in return. However, BTS is so thankful for that, so they keep giving and giving, so ARMY keeps giving and giving. It has become a cycle of thankfulness and love. A lot of people really understood the actual real meaning and depth on what unconditional love actually means, when they got to know BTS back then, which is also a reason why the connection between BTS and ARMY is so incredibly strong. E.g. when the members at the end of their concerts, talked about how much love and gratitude they had for ARMY, best believe I was sitting at home, crying with them being like "No, I am the one who is grateful, and I dont know how I can ever give all this love back to you". BTS truly deserves everything they ever wish for, in this and all following lifetimes.

JK is 27 now. V and Jimin are 29. RM and J-Hope are 30, I think. Suga is 31 and Jin is 32. Suga is talking about himself at age 18 and he did say suicide. The song is called The Last. Suga lays his feelings and struggles right on the line. He lets himself be extremely vulnerable. He has struggled with some mental challenges such as depression, OCD, and social anxiety, as well as a difficult childhood. The love of his BTS brothers has gone a long way in healing him.

I’m waiting for more Jin and Suga content! As you saw in this episode, Suga is really vulnerable in his music and shares his journey and emotions. I’d definitely recommend Snooze or First Love. Jin usually appears bright and cheerful on camera to make Army happy, but he opens up about his struggles in his songs like Abyss and Awake. He also recently released his first album, Happy, to spread happiness to us🥹 I’d love to see you react to Another Level or Heart on the Window from the album, those are my favorites💜

so glad yall saw more of yoongi. he’s definitely the member that has struggled the most with mental health & he’s probably the one whose the most open speaking about it which is so admirable. he might be a hardcore rap GENIUS but he’s also a poet (similar to namjoon). he doesn’t like to express himself too much verbally or physically so he does it through songs and lyrics. that’s his escape from reality & a way to still showcase that he’s also human & does in fact feel things deeply. i love him so much. i miss him.

This year is actually the 10 year anniversary since BTS released 'the most beautiful moment in life'. It's an important era to both BTS and army's, and it's been announced that we'll be getting some type of album/project to celebrate it. I’m a little confused about what Seb said in min 20:12. Why should that be taken as an insult? Shinhwa has been active since 1998. They are among the first generation of Kpop. Many artists, not just BTS, respect them for their hard work, dedication and motivation to still keep going. I know that you guys, Triple Take only know BTS and their impact but keep in mind there are many more groups that are just as loved in South Korea if not more. One thing that i think these video skipped over a little bit is definitely about all of the boy mental states, but especially suga's, and how vulnerable he was releasing his mixtape openly talking about his depression, anxiety, and ocd. I don't remember if this series talks about it more. it was mentioned before that v and suga both had to go to the hospital from dizziness and missed a concert. but according to fans at the concert bts kept delaying their concert, just to come out as 5, sing a couple of songs apparently also crying, then cancel the concert and the one for the next day. not long after, Suga released a statement to fans that basically apologized for his mental weariness, and his thoughts and apologizes for disappointing fans, and how he didn't have the courage to face these fans. Whether it was him actually being too weak to perform and passing out, or if he had a panic attack and refused to get on stage we do not know. But from his post and the lyrics to "The Last" (the song you heard by him today) fans speculate he was actually in the venue the entire time as he was talking about how he wishes he could have "erased that day [of the gig]" as he was "hiding in the bathroom" and "scared of the people"

Another emotional chapter of TROB. Thank you for a wonderful reaction. Just some FYI for you: Talking about the "7-year itch" in the K-pop industry, BTS did in fact talk about disbanding in early 2018 when they were going through contract negotiations. I believe it all stemmed from the fact that the boys went on a long Wings World Tour from February 2017 until December 2017. They were tired and burnt out and the boys were starting to question the direction that each of them wanted to take with their career. Thankfully, their love for their music and each other prevailed and disbandment was prevented. It is common knowledge that Yoongi suffered from depression and OCD. His songs are almost like a journey of facing his struggles, letting go of the past and moving forward to the future. Suga was actually not the only one who had some emotional struggles. Jimim talked about his during the process of creating his album FACE. His song Alone goes into the topic of loneliness and depression, feeling overwhelmed but finding the strength to keep going. That his father expressed sadness listening to the song. But this is why Army is very protective and supportive of all the boys. Because they are all very transparent, they bring all of us into their lives.

Charlie: This is gonna be a long comment to give you some context to Bang PD, Big Hit/HYBE and the “big 3” So up until 2020 Big Hit was not considered to be part of the big power house Korean entertainment companies. It wasn’t until Bang PD bought majority shares in Pledis Ent (gaining the groups Seventeen, formis 9, Nu’Est) in 2020 that Big Hit started to be talked about alongside the “big 3”. In 2021 Bang PD rebranded the company to HYBE Corporation and acquires several more entertainment companies globally that Hybe became more influential than the “big 3”. A lot of the Korean industry say HYBE is still separate but powerful, but does not have the history the big 3 do. But HYBE is the first to have branches of HYBE in Japan (XY Labels), HyBE America, both of who produce their own idol groups! There is also HyBE Latin America which is new and working on their own projects. I will say 2 of the big 3 companies have been rocked by massive scandals and have had a lot of internal fights and coups (in case of SM) and honestly don’t treat their idols very well. Hybe, while strict and driven, were the first company to actively have psychiatrists on staff to work with idol groups to look after their mental health. They also broke a 2 decade industry standard and made it possible for trainees to take hiatus from training if they needed the break. That was unheard of. While another person who commented her is correct, Bang PD does have a sort of “formula” for creating successful groups -TXT (recognized and loved by BTS members as their little brothers), Le Sserafim, Enhypen, &Team, Katseye and others- he is still a big believer of allowing and encouraging the groups and trainees in all the companies to be involved in some or many aspects of their groups content and music creation. Sorry that was a long tangent but there is such a depth with so much nuance to your simple question.

I wanna touch on a bit of Jimins story here. The whole episode opens with him saying he doesn’t feel good enough and thinks he is always lacking in comparison to the other members. Then the episode closes with him once again giving all the credit to the members and still feeling like he’s not measuring up, and being so treating that they shore up his weakness(at least in his eyes). I think it’s the way the episodes is made that causes his story to get lost, but he really struggled with this for a long time and had a big problem with his own image even leading to problems with his eating. And maybe the episode doesn’t mention it because a lot of the struggle he has with feeling his own perceived inadequacy is speculation since he’s just got as vocal about his struggles as Suga is. I just feel bad that a lot of ARMY miss this part of Jimin’s story because I think it’s super relatable and really put more context to Park Jimin.

Yoongi has really been through a lot with mental health. Seb was right about what the question was. Anyone who has ever talked to a psychologist recognizes that question: have you ever committed self harm or attempted s____de? He also talks about how he used to want to lay on the bathroom floor, which is a reference to the trend in South Korean schools of teenagers taking their own lives in the school bathrooms during exam season. I highly recommend you dive into Yoongi's Agust D album. It's deeply personal and a beautiful piece of art.

I have been a fan of BTS since 2013 - N.O era - and being aussie i relied alot on youtube, so their music has been impactful over the years since the beginning. Regarding Jimins comments at the concert, alot of people forget he only trained as a trainee for 6 months before he was placed in to the group ( and that had its own issues, as Bang Pd and the choreographer didn't want him in it). Suga released his mixtape back in 2016 and talking about "mental health issues" openly was still considered taboo in South Korea at that time. So that had a big impact on alot Armys who needed it at that time too. Please as a Jimin Bias Seb you need to react to Introduction to Jimin 2025 version. It explains so much about hes journey from pre debut to his success as a solo artist and he's quiet charity donations he has done through out the years. It's a must watch for any Jimin fan as alot from the video gets missed by the general Army

What he went through and the fact that he managed to be in a much better place emotionally in recent years made me feel that I can get through whatever challenge I have myself. Aneesa did an amazing job creating Rise of Bangtan 🥹 Suga's entire journey is in his lyrics through his albums. I had the privelage to attend 3 concerts from his D-Day tour before he enlisted and it was the most emotional concert I've ever been too but also liberating. During his last stop in Seoul he finally walked through the door (from his Amygdala MV) It signified he's free, he's finally able to move on and let the past go. It was heartbreaking and beautiful and so uplifting. I suggest diving into Suga's first mixtape and reacting to all the songs with lyrics on.

I was on Twitter around the time she deleted it. It was a whole mess I didn't fully understand. People called her entitled because she was upset that bighit was coming out with their own similar documentary on Disney+ (Beyond the Stars). She did put in so much of effort so I understood where she was coming from but I also understood the other argument that she was using footage that belonged to bts anyway and if they wanted to use that same footage to create their own docu, they had every right to anyways. Aneesa, the creator of this series, began uploading the episodes in 2020. She had hundreds of thousands views. She was finishing up the last two episodes, when she made everything private. (I have heard several explanations, but I have never done Twitter and I missed her last live-stream, which was also removed, so I do not know what is most accurate.) Months passed when the series quietly returned under a new owner, new channel and no explanation, save the post on the YouTube channel. It took Aneesa 3 years to write the script and storyboard it. She is a professional editor. This was her passion project. The pandemic hit, things shut down, and she was without a job. Lucky for us, it gave her the time to work full time on this project.

Me again… Big Hit Entertainment was tiny. Like very few employees and Bang’s dream. It morphed into HYBE which is huge. Now, there is Big Hit Music, an independent label under HYBE that only has BTS, TXT and a solo artist under it. The new CEO of Big Hit ran training and development back in 2010 and she was the person who ensured Jimin stayed (RM calls her a guardian angel).

After your reaction to yoongi’s and bts approach on vulnerability.. I strongly recommend SNOOZE by Agust D. In BTS dynamic thru the concept of yin & yang, yoongi is the most beautiful person that carries that “yin” energy in the group, he may be perceived as that savage member and loves to act as villain… but this guy is incredibly thoughtful and warm. I cannot wait til you discover more sides of him and his music. I love every dynamic yoongi has w/ every member, but then again same goes for other members.

So the things that you noted about in this episode is why you had a lot of people asking to not forget the lyrics (there are also just jerks out there, too). They have been open about their struggles and mental health is huge issue in South Korea. I thank them for that care and bravery. Personally, there are lyrics that have gotten me through dark days & months & even this week. The sincerity and hard work they put in to send a message makes me love them so much.

Keep in mind- and this is what makes y'all SO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!- is they've been WAITING for the release. So when BTS announces a release, we, and all the reactor channels all FREAK out on that day and finally get to see what we have been waiting for! Lord- how Long did we wait for Butter while they just had a pan sizzling with butter for how long-days????? You guys will be like that SOON! Only like 2 months + to go! BUT you've got to see FESTA 2022 BEFORE then and see the enlistment videos.
