If you watch the music video you can see how each boy portrays caricatured behavior and at the end the girl chooses taehyung since he’s the only one not bothering her. Which drives the point that they made the song to mock trash men who harass women to get their attention.

International ARMYs had to band together to fight the horrible #, we trended #weloveuJhope and #youarebeautifuljhope #jhopeyouareperfect. Please notice that in this korean media whenever they say Bts Fans, they are not actually talking about ARMY, in korea there are a lot of fake fans accounts, a lot of "antis" (bts haters in the kpop community) . So when it says bts fans said that and is something bad for the boys, it's normally Antis and a part of the Karmy ( Korean ARMY probably are the worst ARMYs ever, they criticize everything, from the color of their skin if they get to bronze, from calling jhope ugly and not screaming or applause for him. As always a great reaction video for Rise of Bangtan. Please know that while this documentary is phenomenal, it is trying to cover 10 years of content it is only touching the surface, there is so much more. The way they were ridiculed for those misogynistic lyrics was not the first nor last time they are ridiculed - unfairly in my opinion. There was an entire internet sabotage plan called the break wings project that was planned to sabotage the release of their "Wings" album. They were being accused of plagiarism, there was other horrible accusations and ARMYs actually got together and wrote an entire paper called "The White Paper Project" to break down all of the misinformation that was being spread. It is 133 pages. Also, j-hope received as you saw really extreme hatred which actually started even before they debuted. It's so very sad. Much of it was focusing on his looks which I guarantee those people who were saying those things needed to look in the mirror. You'll notice in the first series of photos that are put out for their debut and in the "No More Dream" MV Hobi is wearing a mask at times, and I'm not sure if this is speculated or has been said, but many believe it was because of all of the hatred that he received. I think you've already seen the VLog he did where he says, "I haven't gotten any responses on my fan cafe," I wasn't around for this, so I'm not sure exactly how it worked, but I guess on the fan cafe you could leave individual members messages and Hobi was pointing out that he didn't have any. It breaks my heart. I think this scene has been in the Rise of Bangtan as well, but in a Bangtan Bomb you see Jimin delivering fanmail to the members, and when he delivers it to jhope, you can see the very obvious surprise that he had fanmail as well as how happy Jimin was to be giving it to him. Those hashtag campaigns were so bad, Hobi actually considered leaving BTS, in one of the documentaries, I can't remember which one, they talk about when Hobi was going to leave and how JK cried and that's what convinced him to stay, I'm sure along with the other members not wanting him to leave. It is this kind of hatred that has been dished out throughout the years that really makes ARMYs very protective of every member and another reason why most ARMYs do not like SOLO's. BTS themselves on numerous occasions have said that they want ARMYs to love them all equally, that is what they want the most. I imagine it has been hard for them to watch people they love getting attacked the way different members have been attacked and honestly every member has horrible haters that are truly disgusting. I'm pretty sure you guys know about the scooter incident last summer in which SUGA was drunk on a scooter, fell off in front of his house, and because there were police directly in front of his house when this happened they approached and he received a ticket for being drunk on the scooter. This caused one of the most outrageoous smear campaigns I've ever seen against SUGA, it was horrendous with at one time over 200 articles a day being put out, with many of them outright lies. The thing is that a new law had passed I think literally that week, making it illegal to drive a scooter drunk, SUGA said he didn't realize that law had happened and I'm sure had he known, he would not have ridden the scooter home. What they put him through was disgusting in my opinion. You can tell in the survellience video that was eventually released that the reason he fell was because he did a sharp turn and it looked like maybe hit a crack in the sidewalk, but he fell off and then immediately stood up and picked up his scooter, but the media said he couldn't even get up. Anyway, I'm not loving reliving these thoughts, and the only reason I bring it up is to help you guys realize that even now there is so much hatred slung at BTS very unfairly. There was a whole campaign at that time demanding that SUGA be kicked out of BTS, which is actually not uncommon in the idol world. This is why they cannot make mistakes. But, anyway, I just wanted ya'll to know that even with BTS success, there is still many people who hate them and attack them any chance they get. And again, this is why ARMY is very protective of them, especially on social media. Now to better topics. That Jimin ripping off his shirt was not from the Japan concert, it was from the MAMA awards show. It was a whole rap/dance battle that BTS did with Block B (another idol group) on the show. And those videos of them performing it during their concerts are so moving. You can imagine that in some of them when they are looking at the audience and singing this song, they must just be overwhelmed with emotion to be where they are and be living out those dreams. I know you would enjoy reacting to one of the "Born Singer" videos with lyrics obviously. It was not until they announce in 2022 that they were going to give attention to solo work for awhile as they all enlisted that some of the albums were officially released and available on streaming platforms. But Namjoon only released his 2nd mixtape, his first is still only available on Soundcloud. I know I keep saying this and I know there is sooooo much. But you guys will love watching the concerts. I would start from the beginning and watch them in order. I have most if not all of them, and I've subtitled the songs, so you can see the lyrics and will get to hear a lot of songs you have yet to hear. But "Born Singer" is at the end of the "BTS Begins" concerts I also added chapters, so you can skip right to it if you want to watch a specific song. RM is the most articulate when he spoke it often in their beginning years but Jimin and Jhope are the ones to speak it the most in throughout their content. Yeontan was V's personal dog that he adopted, and he was a small pomeranian that was black and brown. Huge difference in the two. If Sunsim did pass, RIP. But you mean to say RIP to Yeontan as he was the one who passed away a few weeks ago.

The BTS light stick is called an Army Bomb. Each kpop group releases their own light stick with their own design. You can buy an Army Bomb at kpop shops or from Weverse. The latest versions of the Army Bomb have bluetooth and wireless connection ability, there is a phone app it connects with, when you go to a BTS concert you synch your Army Bomb with the concert using the app, and then the Army Bomb light is controlled by the concert lighting, That's why when you watch a BTS concert, all the army bombs in the crowd are synchronised and they create various light patterns and designs to correspond with what's happening in the concert.

There's so much to unpack from this episode. Song-wise... War of Hormone is one of my favourite songs & I hated how they were treated like pariahs for releasing it when other artists have lyrics 100 times worse. Born Singer is incredible and the performance punches you in the feels--the harmonies will blow your mind. Jump is a lot of fun and you get some great gritty vocals from Taehyung. It's worth looking into some of those songs and/or performances. The hate towards Hobi was so unfounded and cruel. I simply don't understand why anyone can be so mean to others, never mind artists who pour their hearts and souls into their craft. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment, not Hobi, not Jimin, not any of the members, NOBODY. Namjoon is a genius in life and music. He was the perfect choice to lead the group for sure.

Unlike some, they were not given fame and fortune on a plate, they work harder than any group I’ve ever seen. The army bombs you can buy online from many places They have Japanese albums so they can speak some. Jimin ripping his top was an award show competing against another k pop band. Jungkook cried. Namjoon knew that they needed Hobi so he convinced Hobi and Big Hit for him to return. BTS would not be BTS without Hobi. (2) Japan is the biggest if not the second biggest BTS market. So the members all speak Japanese. And they usually will have concerts in several cities in Japan. BTS produced 4 full Japanese albums and 10 Japanese single albums. Some of the best BTS live performances are on Japanese stage. (3) the Army bomb are not distributed by Big Hit during concert. Fans buy them and carry them to the concert. With bluetooth connection, it syncs to BTS songs during the concert and also the lights are also synced. (4) Please put BTS' Red Bullet Tour, their first concert in your watch list. It is an absolutely joy to watch. (5) May I suggest for you to watch the 'I Need You' MV first before you watch episode 8 of the Rise of Bangtan so you will get the full context of this amazing, heartbreaking BTS production.

RM has a 148 IQ which is legit in the Genius range. RM is an amazing leader. I personally don't think BTS would have gone global without RM. Another thing I truly appreciate is Suga and Jin having RM's back and being respectful of his role. Because the age hierarchy is so stringently enforced in Korea, he couldn't have fulfilled his role without the FULL backing of Jin and Suga. Especially since Suga was just as closely involved in the music making as RM was. Jhope may have joined as a dancer, but he too was very hands-on. I have deep respect for all 3 of them. Kpop environment can be so cruel sometimes. It must have taken such mental strength for Hobi to hang in there through all the vitriol!! We love you Hobi!❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

j-hope is the most talented idol in kpop. Like he's the Ace of Kpop and it's very well recognized now. He's known for being the best performer in kpop, the best dancer in kpop, he's one of the best rappers (and known for his crazy flow and versatility), one of the most prolific writers, and a trend-setting fashion icon. So don't worry about Hobi. Back in the early days, he didn't get a lot of camera time and kpoppies were really hostile about idols who had non-traditional looks (RM and Jimin got hate for it, too), so j-hope became a target. But he's always been talented (before BTS debuted, they were known as "the group with Jung Hoseok," and he passed the audition for one of the big 3 kpop companies which is crazy hard). So they were really just being haters.

Also, since seniority is so repected in Korean culture, it becomes difficult to challenge the decision of someone who is a leader and also the oldest of the group. So this way,with the oldest not being the leader, the team dynamics are pretty well-balanced. Also, about the lightstick, each KPOP Group's fandom have their own customized lightstick, ours is called ARMY BOMB. And it is available on Weverse Shop( it is an app) on most occassions, especially when concerts are around the corner. So most of us has one. I think it’s really interesting as a 2017 army to see the types of fan made BTS tell all content that gets requested to new BTS reactors. Shout out to whoever made this Rise of Bangtan series because it is really well made and thorough. Maybe a little bit too thorough 😅 I think for me as a baby army there were 20min videos that basically took the most important parts of BTS’s story and made them fit in one “long” 20 min video which is hilarious to see this now that ARMYs after me are being requested a 21 part series of “long” videos to watch 😂 like I love you army and ARMYs that came after me but damn this series is daunting! And people are like “why haven’t you reacted to this performance yet or this song” and it’s like you guys holy hell they’re already watching and then editing at least an hours worth of content daily hahaha Anyway army, please remember this when you’re requesting because I think to ask them to start Bon Voyage or In The Soop or Are You Sure right now with everything else is sort of unrealistic so please be patient. They also have just but barely started Run Eps finally so thank god for that. They’re about to finally get to the funnier and better edited ones! I think they might ramp those up then bc they’re just too good not to. Anyway - love y’all 🫶💜

The one on V's dog. the one on this episode is not the one who passed away recently. Soonshim passed away years ago. V got a new dog, his name is yeontan (Pomeranian) and who is the one who died recently. We got updates on yeontan since he was a baby from tae, so it really was a sad day when he updated us that yeontan already died last December 😭 RIP yeontan.

If i recall correctly (and i may not, it's been a good few years!), the point about mistranslation of those "misogynistic lyrics" refers to the actual line being "women are like equations, men have to figure them out" rather than "men just do them" which is how it was initially translated and misinterpreted 😬 huge difference and very detrimental for the boys' image. Regardless of what the intent was, BTS still took this very seriously and made such a solid commitment to conveying their meanings in a way that's both authentic and respectful to avoid any repeat incidents.
