He and Jin especially hit it off and during the week they took over Las Vegas a few months before the military service started Chris Martin was there the whole time and was often out with Jin. When Jin needed a song (The Astronaut) to say goodbye to army he called Chris, Coldplay worked with him and they asked him to come to the Argentina show to perform it (which was the day the song was released & only weeks before Jin’s enlistment). There are two features on Jin’s trip to perform in Argentina, both worth watching. He looked confident performing but he was extremely nervous.

He wrote this because he was going away to the military. He was the first member to enlist and The live, was his LAST performance for 18 months. That I love you at the end was his send off. I HIGHLY recommend doing a bit of research about the songs before you react live to them. It makes it mean so much more when you watch them. BTS puts thought and meaning into everything, the video, the lyrics, all of it. The video of Jin represents all sorts of different things. You’ll have to watch the video that dissects it. If you ever listen to or watch the video for Spring Day you MUST watch the video that deep dives into it. The little girl represents ARMY. They used a kid who is about the same age as the fandom to represent ARMY- about 10 years when this came out. Jin was the alien (the astronaut) that got stranded on earth, he formed a bond with the girl next door and when it was time to leave, he decided to stay because the little girl became his family and his home. Also Chris Martin makes a cameo on the TV. You guys are still new to BTS too. You have not even scratched the surface yet but I am hoping you guys dive in deeper. Please read the comments so you can learn. My Universe is a good follow up with the documentary

He created the song in collaboration with Coldplay to send a message of love and affection to BTS and their fans (ARMY) before going into mandatory military service in South Korea. The little girl in the MV is the representation of ARMY. BTS have collaborated with Coldplay before, on the song "My Universe" and they all got along really well, especially Chris Martin and Jin. Chris even gave Jin his personal autographed guitar as a gift and Coldplay always say how much they love all the BTS boys, that's why Jin and Chris hug like that on stage. The backing vocals in the song are the actually coldplay doing it. The fact that Jin flew 40 hours just to perform this song for ARMY live, at least once before the enlistment in the military and just to sing with Coldplay just proves how much affection he has for the band and especially all the love he has for his fans, us, the ARMY.

Perhaps they’ve seen a few random comments trying to push for reactions to other groups and think that this is what the majority wants? And maybe it is! 🤷🏻♀️ I genuinely enjoy this channel but it’s not my decision to make for them where they choose to go with it. I just know I can’t justify paying every month for content I will never watch all of, since I have no interest in any other groups. To each their own. 💜

This was a song that Chris wrote for Jin to give to ARMY and Jin wrote the Korean lyrics of the song. I watched this performance the night it came out and I just remember crying because this was his last performance and would be for 18 months. I genuinely enjoy watching y’all take the BTS journey but I can’t really justify paying to watch reactions to other groups (not in this economy; I have to be very mindful who I splurge and subscribe to 😅). I am personally just an ARMY, but I absolutely understand if you guys want to explore other groups. I will just patiently wait and watch for the BTS ones on YouTube in the future. 😊 Okay, with all that out of the way — The Astronaut is one of my all time favorite songs, point blank. I love Coldplay and Jin’s lower register is both stunning and comforting. It might have something to do with all the sadness and uncertainty so many of us felt around this time two years ago (Jin was the first to leave us for his military service and BOY, was it devastating), but I get choked up every single time I listen to this. The child he was sending off to ride on her own and protecting (giving away his helmet) is a representation of ARMY. He only leaves temporarily but he comes back to ARMY in the end. There are also a ton of little Easter eggs in the MV — for example, Chris Martin from Coldplay is the news guy on the TV, and the dots on Jin’s neck is Morse Code for ARMY (if I recall correctly). I have never seen an artist(s) that loves their fans more than BTS loves theirs. There is such a mutual devotion, it warms my heart. Apobangpo 💜💜

When he got out of service, he had this huge fan event and nervously sang this song to ARMY after not performing for so long. Coldplay performs My Universe at their concerts with bts as holograms! So awesome , so much respect between these two groups. And Coldplay doesn’t let anyone say anything bad about bts in interviews (bc that does happen) , they’re so protective of them just like us. It’s really so sweet. My Universe and the making of is must watch.

That live performance is incredible, and you get to hear all the members sing, including the rappers. Afterwards , they collaborated on My Universe and even made a documentary about the making of the song.

2024-12-07 20:00:19 +0000 UTCActually this song is about Jin’s affection and relationship with ARMY 💜 it’s not a romantic song, it’s more about family love like you guys guessed which Jin also sees ARMY as part of his family who he appreciates and loves. Personally, I noticed that Jin was expressionless throughout the mv; it could be that before he found BTS, he was drifting around aimlessly (hence the alien) without knowing what true happiness and joy really is. He only smiled 3 times in the mv: when he pushed the girl off the bicycle and found out she could be independent and cycle on her own; when he was on the truck while thinking about going back home; and lastly after having an epiphany and wrote down the word “family” on the crossword puzzle. Hence, I think Jin was trying to tell us that he has finally found his happiness after finding BTS and ARMY and his smile at the end indicates that the thought of coming back to his family brings him joy. 💜

You should definitely check out BTS’s cover of Fix You on MTV Unplugged, it’s incredible and their vocals are amazing. That performance was the beginning of their relationship with Coldplay. Later, they collaborated on My Universe and made a documentary about it. Afterwards they participated on The Astronaut, which was Jin’s goodbye song. When Jin enlisted in the military, Coldplay even brought his plushie astronaut Wootteo on their tour, which was so sweet:)

Jin did that one live performance of "The Astronaut" before the military. There was no time for anything else. But he took a direct flight to Argentina because that's wwhere Coldplay was. Jin has progressed more than the others in my opinion. He has grown musically and mentally since his military service. Is new Album HAPPY has shown this growth. Solo performances are amazing, it would be great for you all now to dive into there earlier performances and practices. This can give you more of a feel of how BTS have grown. Group wise I mean. He has since come home and performed this again for ARMY the day after he completed his service. He actually rode a bike to the stage to perform this song, signifying his return to us❤️❤️❤️ If you watch another video of this Argentina performance you'll hear Chris Martin introduce Jin and talk about how he was asked by Jin for a song that he could gift to ARMY as a farewell before enlisting. Jin is such a treasure to ARMY and he has done nothing but love on us since he returned❤️❤️❤️

I’m a BTS fan and an ARMY, and most ARMYs would probably prefer that you focus solely on BTS at the start, since ARMYs who subscribed to you did so because they wanted to watch BTS content. But when you react to other groups, I just feel like it’s not worth it for me because I don’t watch those reactions 🥹😭. Also, you’ve only just started to get to know BTS — like, only 5%! There’s still so much more to explore. 🥳🥳💜
