I wish we were live while you react to all the videos. There’s so many backstories to share for each video. 1.Jin had injured his hand and so missed the dance performance. 2. Jk had just recovered from covid 2 days before this performance and they literally only practiced together like for a day or so before the big day. 3. They were nominated for Grammys for the 2nd time when they performed here. Didn’t win though.

You may know this already, this is their second Grammy performance in 2022. The first one was during Covid in 2021 and had to be recorded in South Korea, but it was so cool, on the roof of a building on a heliport! You have to watch it. Jin accidentally cut himself while cooking and had to have surgery, so he was still recovering during this performance. And Tae mentioned they set up that little skit with Olivia on the same day and just whispered BLAH BLAH BLAH 🤣 Did you catch Jhope’s little stumble? He almost fell 🥲😅

Yeah Jungkook literally tested positive for Covid right when he got to the U.S. 5 days before the Grammys, Hobi had it just a week before so had to take a later flight from Korea and Jungkook with his freaking superhuman strength got a negative test after 4 days (the night before the Grammys) and so they were hardly able to run stage rehearsals. Jungkook missed the stage rehearsals all-together. Jin had just had surgery on his finger after seriously injuring it. They somehow pulled off THE performance of the Grammys. Standing ovation. Crowd was loudest ever. Everyone was on their feet. A lot of news reports on it being the best performance of the night. Only BTS could have pulled that off all things considered.

Guys, Jin is not dancing because he has an injury, note the bandage on his hand. Also two of the members just had covid; Jhope and JK, and another, Jimin, just had appendix surgery. PLUS they had several full length concerts in Las Vegas to perform.

is funny how you were so hype over V's and Olivia Rodrigo interaction because V said once that he just said bla bla bla to her LOL but they set up that interaction in advance prior the performance and no guys there wasn't anything else between them, there was a lot of people shipping them back them but no...they were very thankful with her and that's it, BTS Butter grammy performance is one of their best in american tv shows but is a shame that the grammys and almost every american show don't allow the guys to arrange an even more complex and amazing performance like the ones they have in Korea, is very well know that the american musical industry is terrified of BTS and that is the reason why they don't allow them to have more time on stage with something more elaborate but well that's another story, thanks for the reaction!

Correction. Jin had surgery on his hand. Specifically one of his fingers. He wasn't even going to go to the doctor. But luckily, his friend told him it was a serious injury. So bad that he had to have immediate surgery. He injured his tendon in his finger. Tendons in your fingers allow you to bend your fingers. If his friend didn't insist he see a doctor, Jin would have had a finger he couldn't bend. And that's not good because Jin plays the piano and guitar.

BTS had a lot of difficulties rehearsing the choreography for the Grammys. First of all, Jin had surgery on his arm. Secondly, J-hope and JK got infected with covid-19 and missed some of the rehearsals. They were only able to join the day before the Grammys and rehearsed at night or something like that. Whenever one member is missing, no one takes their place in the choreography. I think it was very nerve-wracking for them, considering they wanted a Grammy statue. They have been nominated for 5 times over the years.

I hear you. Thank you. However, Rex does the worst editing in my opinion. Blocking out in black. Modifying the voice sound. He does too much. Go watch Columbian Cousins and their Wives react to the latest "Are you sure." That's the best way to edit. It's subscriber friendly. We still get to hear and see most of it. In the real Korean military Army completing their mandatory military service. Usually it's a year and a half of service. Suga stays in longer because he has a civil social services job. He got a deferment because of his shoulder surgery. He did get basic military training...shooting and such. But nothing physically challenging. Shoulder surgeries are very complicated and take the longest most painful physical therapy to heal.

It's not my business, but just saying, with paid content there is always a risk. We will always love and cherish them no matter if they ever win or not because they are already winners in our eyes. They deserved to win every time. Most people have no idea about their age, they just like to imagine for fun that they would look good together, that's it. She was young but adult, so for just a joke I don't find it that bad. V also looks younger than he is for most people. I know people with that age difference that even got married, just saying. You do know not only have they performed at the Grammy's twice...once during covid..they sent in a taped performance, they also have received many Grammy nominations. I think 5 now. The first one was for "Dynamite." This year they submitted their solo work to be considered for nominations. They received ZERO nominations. Army doesn't care. After their first loss they did a group Vlive and had more viewers than the actual Grammy Award show. More than double. I think even 4 times more. But don't quote me. The Grammy's are Scammy's to us. Without reading through your 409 comments, I just wanted you to know of course Olivia was "In" on that brief performance because it had to be rehearsed. V is a great actor. He didn't actually say anything to her. He was counting. Counting and listening to the music to know the precise time to throw that card up to JK on stage. But I think you missed that because you were so excited about Olivia. There is a video of immediately after the Live show who went up and talked to who. V walked a straight line over to Lady Gaga. We never see V go back and talk to Olivia. Sorry to disappoint you!

Some have incorrectly said that JK and JHope learned the choreography the day before. That's not correct. They all learned this choreography way before anyone got covid or had hand surgery. During their Vlive afterwards...which you might consider watching. I don't think you've ever watched a group Vlive before. Anyway they asked the injured Jin to do the choreography to prove he had learned it all too. So it's true they had not all gotten to practice together weeks before the Grammy show, but they had plenty of time to brush up on the choreography the day before. They all had been rehearsing by themselves. Watching a choreographed version on video. Also, check out the Behind the Scenes of this performance. What's true is that every group performing on that stage gets an allotted time to practice on the stage. They have to do a tech rehearsal with lighting and sound and the set. Plus their extra laser tricks took extra practice. Then they do a dress rehearsal on set and "Clean up" any mistakes. What is true is that the extremely hard choreography with their coats as props had never ever been performed perfectly until that live performance on the Grammy's. They explained that on their Vlive. That's Where you find out they all already knew the choreography. They are professionals, but as a choreographer, I can tell you it would be impossible to learn that choreography one day beforehand and to perform that polished of a performance with all the prop extras they did in one day before! So just know...not everything people write in comments is true. The best way to know if it's true is if the info comes directly from the boys and not from rumors. There are other rumors like they filmed an MV in their apartment. No. Not true. Absolutely NOT true.

Actually it was Dynamite that exploded them globally and Butter came next. You really should watch the behind the scenes on this one. Everything went wrong (Jin broke his finger and had surgery that is why the cast and he could not do most of the choregraphy, Jhope came down with Covid and had to quarintine so wasn't at the practices and had to have a clean test in order to fly to the US only arriving the day before(?) and thanks to the international dateline, Jungkook was sent out of Korea along with staff and was testsed positive for Covid once in Las Vegas where they were only quarintining for only a week but he wasn't at the practices either, the coat trick and laser choreo they never were able to do totally clean until the performance, they only got to do a full run through with all of them at the final rehearsal and they begged the producer for more run throughs) no one was sure that they would be able to perform. Then they pulled it all off! Army were just so proud and they got a standing ovation too! I love how if you give BTS a stage they are going to literally take it over. Here they were in the audience used two areas plus a push stage at the front snd filled it with back grounds, lasers, jungkook coming down from the ceiling, back up dancers and themselves. Totally iconic BTS.

Yes, it was finger surgery, BigHit made a statement after the surgery, saying that SeokJin had undergone surgery to repair the extensor of his index finger and was sent home hours later to rest and recover.

Olivia and BTS at that time were both distributed by the same US label so that is how she was chosen to be ‘the girl’. Her boyfriend is sitting directly behind her at the start and standing next to her when they are applauding at the end. Jimin had his appendix removal surgery and THEN got Covid right after, so you have three members very recently suffering from that illness affecting the performance level. Jin injured his hand while at home and had to have the surgery. He mentioned this in his comment on weverse and the company also mentioned it in their statement. Neither he nor the company have ever stated he suffers from that disease. He may very well do, but this has not been confirmed.

Jin, who has a disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) that affects the joints with hypermobility due to loose joints and chronic pain, had surgery on his fingers a few weeks before this performance and that's why he has one hand in a cast and does not perform the full performance. • 2. Jimin had appendicitis surgery just a month before the performance • 3. JHope arrived at US two days before the performance as he had to stay in Korea because he tested positive for Covid19 • 4. JungKook, although he did arrive in the US with the rest of the members, had to be isolated in his hotel for testing positive for Covid19 (he had a fever and sore throat) • 5. They only had 2 days to rehearse the choreography all together due to JHope and JungKook's posiyive covid • 6. This performance was considered the best of the night and one of the 10 best performances in the history of the Grammys. • 7. V said in the live that they did after the gala, that what he said to Olivia in her ear was literally "blah blah blah" since he is not good at English and he did not know very well what to say either. (It was NamJoon [RM] who acted as a translator for Olivia and BTS's interactions during the performance rehearsals) • 8. (this is a rumor) At first it wasn't going to be Olivia Rodrigo who would do that interaction (I don't remember exactly who it was said to be) but it just so happened that they met at the rehearsal (Olivia and BTS) and that's why it ended up being her.

They wanted to release this on youtube , the zoom in is for copyright purposes, so it gives a break from the main video without pausing and maybe can be monetized. It's just a guess, they didn't say that, but I'm 99% convinced this is the reason. They are not the only ones doing it. For live performances it may not even be about monetizing, sometimes it can make a difference between the video getting blocked or not. But there is an unofficial multiple chapter BTS documentary on YouTube called the Rise of Bangtan. It’s fan made but so well done! Jin had surgery on his hand prior so he had to sit out because anything bumps his hand would be painful. Before they left Korea for the US, Jhope got covid and had to stay in Korea until right before. When they arrived in the US, JK got covid and had to quarantine. Before this performance, many things happened. Jin's finger got injured that required surgery (the reason why he was sitting down the whole performance. It's the doctor's advised to keep minimum movements), V is still healing from Covid, Jimin is still healing from appendicitis, JK and J-Hope got Covid weeks before, and they just practiced again as a whole group a day before the Grammys. That dance break was practiced as a whole the day before and during the rehearsals. Yeah deserved to be named as the 2022 best Grammy performance by Billboard.

Here’s some info abt this performance: 1. Jin had surgery on his hand before this performance, explaining the cast on his hand and why he had to sit out a majority of the performance 2. Because V isn't fluent in English and was also extremely nervous about the performance (you can see his hands shaking), he actually only whispered “blah blah blah” in Olivia’s ear. 3. If I remember correctly, a few of the members had recovered from covid the week before (I might have the timeline wrong, but I remember freaking out when they announced they had covid because I knew this was an upcoming performance). Anyway, this was a great video, and I hope you get to watch more of bts live performances!💜

Some members tested positive for COVID-19 and were quarantined in Korea, while Jin was injured and had hand surgery, which kept him from doing intense performances. As for Jin not performing, unfortunately this was right when Jin had injured his finger (I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong) and had to get surgery for it because his tendons were damaged. So that's why excused him of performing in the first half. But of course the performance can't be complete without Jin (you can even see the members leaving a space for him on stage as they're dancing), so he performed in the last bit and pulled it off flawlessly! I'm so glad you enjoy getting to know bts, to make this performance even more incredible! they only practiced this a couple times as a group as several members had covid in the lead up to it leading them to practice individually in that time, jin had also just had surgery on his hand which is why he wasn't really dancing with the others but was still very much so included in the performances story!
