There often is some misconceptions created from Taylor's guide - like that Jimin learned contemporary dance first. He didn't, he was a hip hop dancer first and then moved to an Arts School and had 2 years of contemporary dance training. I would like you to explore their years together as BTS first and not jump into the solo era directly. or simply, you can just follow the timeline and watch all the stuff which can be way better because u will be able see their growth through years also a little request, if you guys react to any new song, please be mindful of the lyrics, pay attention to them. BTS mostly write their own lyrics, especially the three rappers of the group. it tells a lot about them and also what inspired them to write it. RM usually has a poetic style of writing lyrics so if u go through them after reactive to the MV/performance, it would really great. thanks!

You will appreciate them even more if you see how they got to where they are now rather than jumping ahead to the newer performances. Just my humble opinion. No matter what route you choose - enjoy the ride!!!

For me, If you are new to exploring BTS artistry, it is best to start with the music and listen to them by album chronologically from their debut EP to the latest group album. After that, you can watch the live performances of the songs you're reacting to from the album. For solo projects, you can go through them by year of release or by member after the group albums. However, listening to albums can take time because you also need to read the translation of the lyrics. BUT, do what you think is possible for you to react, we'll be watching. Thank you!

I also think they need to dive into more of their music before they can fully enjoy that performance. For now, I’d react to live performances of songs that they’ve heard so that they can enjoy and appreciate the performance a bit more!

So I think it’s a good one to start with if you want a taste of their live performances! You can react to Airplane pt.2 in the same video if you want to, to appreciate the performance a little more. It has a Japanese MV which you can react or the lyric video ✌️💜

Most new reactors have no idea why the performance starts with a certain member, they don't understand why Boy in Love has the setting it has and how it connects to Boy in Luv. New reactors who don't know the discography have no idea why the lead up songs to Dionysus are in the order they in. Everything BTS does is intentional. They don't just pick songs at random. The Rise of Bangtan really is the best way to catch up and develop a better understanding of what's going. That just my opinion anyway.

2024-11-04 01:29:13 +0000 UTCAlso, as many people are pointing out here, it's true that unfortunately the majority of voters here are not considering the fact that with BTS discography, everything needs to be in order, or otherwise you simply won't appreciate their music + performances that much. Maybe it seems like a lot of work, to read the lyrics, to study the storylines, to see the choreography and the concept of the songs before seeing how it translates to the stage, but there's a charm to it, that it's not just random setting or words (for example there're often intros to their concerts, which sets the mood or tells a story according to the songs they portray). It really is just never random with them (well, unless when they're just being goofballs🤭). Honestly, there is so much lore, that it would make sense to start from the beginning, from their first mvs, or even watch fan-made documentary The Rise of Bangtan, it tells you everything how did BTS even happened. But also, do it how you want it, it's your channel, and real ARMY appreciate when it's sincere, so you don't have to follow everything people tell you to do (especially if it's straight up demands). As for the live performances, good idea is to search some concert parts where there're 3-4 songs set, and it's better to watch something you already know, so the choreography is familiar to you. Or there're plenty of versions of one song performances, you can just watch several in one video, and it's gonna be all live performances of different songs, but not connected. There's no specific way how to discover things about BTS, you just gotta trust the process i guess🤩 (P.S. please please, don't do solos just yet, it gotta be the last piece of the puzzle, after all it is the last thing they gave to the ARMYs before they went to the military, your picture is not full just yet to throw solos into it)

They have a few recent (pre-military service) concerts like Permission to Dance On Stage-LA, or their free concert in Busan. But really any concert performance is a must watch. Concerts are the epitome of Bts, they love them and you can really see that in their performances.

It is therefore hard not to feel that some voters are not true BTS armys because true armies will always advise to learn more about their music first and all the hard work they have put into creating these MVs for armys to appreciate instead of just choosing to watch live performances. Don’t get me wrong, live performances are truly the best to watch but as someone already pointed out it’s like reading the last chapter of Harry Potter without reading the beginning and middle parts leading up to it, doesn’t really show any appreciation to the creator.

Unless you are reacting to a live performance of a song that you have already heard before I.e Fake Love then I highly recommend watching their fake love dance performance practice from the 2018 MAMA Japan

I would also HIGHLY RECOMMEND another explanation video called "the long and help BTS guide" from purple snow - its up to date as of early 2024 and gives you a deeper insight into them.

The fee is very small, like 1$, and she has all their full concerts with full subs, lyrics for all the songs they may not know. So I hope more people recommend that when they get to concerts, I find it very helpful to have lyrics as even if they heard the songs they won't remember what they were about.

Get to know BTS as a team before you break out into their solo accomplishments. Lyrics and understanding the meaning behind some of the songs will make you appreciate them even more. There’s just SO much to watch and learn - you will never cease to be amazed!!

And within there you can explore their recent solos from 2022 onward. If you go in order you get to know them as they grow and you will understand how some of the songs fit together... Explanations are also necessary for some songs/mvs. The lyrics and visuals always have meaning!

However, i would also recommend you watch their solo music videos right after so that you get to know the members and their styles better, because it’ll honestly blow your mind how diverse they are. their solo achievements from the past year alone have been insane, multiple bts members have been predicted by major newspapers to be nominated for the grammys this year, so it’s worth checking them out. when getting into the live performances you can see how they all have a unique flair that they bring together in group performances and i think that’ll make you curious about their solo careers. so basically 1. bts group music videos/content 2. bts live performances 3. bts solo music videos 4. solo performances

BTS solo albums are more meaningful when you know each member on personal level, their each different personality, their styles in singing etc. Bcoz solo albums of each member somewhat reflects their personal lives (Though not entirely). So would appreciate you deep dive in BTS first would be my suggestion. Also for live performances 2016,2017,2018,2019,2020 MMA performances are great to watch.

First, you can start from Jungkook (the main vocalist, also the youngest one). He is the guy who sang the song of World Cup 2022 and performed it at the opening ceremony.
