[UPDATE] Small adjustment of Vision Reality to 1.4.2.1 for Pure gamma 2.51 New link in the description

Hi,

[UPDATE] Small adjustment of Vision Reality to 1.4.2.1 for Pure gamma 2.51 New link in the description

AC Vision Reality 1.4.2.1 release for Pure Gamma 2.51.

This version has been optimized on versions 0.2.7 preview1 of CSP and 2.51 of Pure Gamma.

The main optimization of this version is auto-exposure and glare effect when facing the sun but also some minor improvements.

____________________________________________________________

Installation:

Copy the two folders "extension" and "system" found in AC Vision Reality 1.4.2.1.zip/rar to the root of the Assetto Corsa folder then launch Content Manager and follow the steps in numerical order as on the screen.

1 - Configure CSP in Content Manager

2 - Select AC Vision Reality 1.4.2.1 in Content Manager

____________________________________________________________

In-game configuration 1:

Open "Pure PP" and verify that the settings have been loaded correctly

If loaded correctly you should have this in the "Light" tab

If is not, click on "IMPORT" then load the "AC Vision Reality 1.4.2.1" file located in: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\config-ext\Pure\AC Vision Reality 1.4.2.1

____________________________________________________________

In-game configuration 2:

In game make sure the exposure is 100%

Then i strongly recommend that you open "Pure PP" -> "General" tab and try to change the color temperature values then the saturation because it also depends on the configuration of your screen and it can change a lot. My settings were made on a 4k QLed TV.

Example: screenshot 6500k temperature (default)

Screenshot 5500k temperature

Screenshot 7500k temperature

The auto-exposure may not load correctly, you just have to check "VAO Adaption" “AE + CBE” and put “5.500 in Target” and “0.950 in Mix” then save.

Comments

yes, it is auto exposure that gives this effect

MCG

I almost got it to work exactly like the video but when I changed the settings to nighttime when I move the drivers head the illumination on the headlights are brighter and then after a few seconds they get dimmer.

Chris Beltran

open "Pure Config" -> "Weather" tab -> enable "weather.use_weather_particles

MCG

Why does the SNow option not work?

Chris Beltran

Hi, thanks for your feedback. To see the clouds you can "increase or decrease" the values of "Clouds2D.brightness or contrast" in "Pure Config" "Clouds" tab. For the brightness in the cockpit open "Pure PP" "script" tab and reduce the values of "Taget" and "Mix". It's strange that the brightness of the cockpit is too bright.

MCG

Looks nice sharp and life like in VR! However, the sky is too bright, and I can't see the shape of the clouds. Reducing the brightness also dims the landscape. How can I adjust only the sky so that i can see the cloud? Without affecting the general sun light. Also, in many tracks, the cockpit view is extremely bright. How can I modify the interior brightness without affecting the rest?

Jorgias

the shadows are correct, they can be more or less dark depending on the circuits/time and weather but you can adjust them with these settings https://imgur.com/a/1gkIynT

MCG

Thank you very much for your kind attention! :) Yes, I tried reinstalling several times as per the information you provided, but no improvement... yes, I too think that the drawing of the shadows in the pit on first startup is working, but for some reason, when I leave the pit, the shadows are drawn in the ACC standard. https://imgur.com/a/2MV5Gek Thanks so much for responding to my problem. I have been thinking alone for a long time LOL

enoki

thanks for these images. For the groundfog in red I don't know why it is in red. Have you tried to reinstall Pure using the "uninstall.bat" present in the Pure folder and reinstall Pure? Concerning the shadows on the image of the car in pink, I find that they are normal. can you circle the problem so that I can better understand? Thanks in advance

MCG

Thank you for your quick reply. I have set it up as shown in the image below. https://imgur.com/a/7iKuE4Q Also, the standard ACC screen reflects the shadows, but when started, the quality of the shadows deteriorates and changes. https://imgur.com/a/V3Nx2RW In both cases, the quality as shown in the video appears to reflect the correct quality in all aspects except shadows! Thank you for your time and we would appreciate your assistance.

enoki

Hi, I have no problem with groundfog. Have you tried with another ppfilter to see if this problem is still present? Can you put a picture on a host https://imgur.com/upload

MCG

In CSP 0.2.7-PREVIEW1, Pure 2.38, the groundfog setting item is blinking red and the shadow is not reflected. Is there a solution? The same problem occurs in Pure 2.51..

enoki

I continue with gamma because the base is already founded. I already released a ppfilter for LCS which I haven't updated since because LCS is not fully mature and I would have to customize it from scratch

MCG

I'm curious why do you keep using gamma instead of switchin to lcs? is there a performance reason, a technical one or just preference :)

Sebastian Iordache

Thank you for your feedback. Have you tried version 1.4.2.1? I reduced this effect in this version and however you still find it too strong, you can reduce it by opening "Pure config" tab "light" then reduce "csp_lights_emissive"

MCG

Hey, been using your filter since YT days. One thing that i noticed recently is that the emitter lights value is too high, so the brake lights of cars and lights coming out of dashboards become too bright. At 5:57 for example, in your last video, the dash and backlight of the car in front are too bright for day time. Could you fix that?

Rafael Kfouri

no problem, have fun :)

MCG

it worked tank you for helping me

puremasri

once you have saved the changes rename all files with the name "AC Vision Reality 1.4.2" to "my filter" but keep "_ScriptSettings" ".lua" and "_PPconfig" the following files: in "extension/config-ext/Pure" in "extension\config-ext\Pure\scriptsettings" in "system\cfg\ppfilters" and "system\cfg\ppfilters\pure_scripts"

MCG

i did not understand the part when i should rename the files

puremasri

choose AC Vision Reality 1.4.2 as ppfilter then make the changes then save. This ppfilter rename it so you will have your ppfilter with your modifications. To rename it, look for all the files in the .zip that you copied/pasted to the root of the game then change the name. Normally you should rename all files with the name "AC Vision reality 1.4.2 but keep the "_ScriptSettings" ".lua" and "_PPconfig". Then for the original you will just have to put my files back in the root of the game

MCG

hi I have made some changes and i would like to save the changes in a different file than the original. i have tried to clone the PP filter but when i set up the cloned version the settings resets to default settings (without the modifications of your PP filter). How can I save in a separate file the changes that I made while keeping the original one on another file ?

puremasri

I see what you mean. you must reduce "light.sun.speculars" in "Pure Config" "light" tab

MCG

a simple fix to that would be changing sun level in pp filter configuration

Nugget

I'm not able to send a capture of it in here but i just wanted to say that the road is kind of one color and you can't see the sun reflecting off it

Nugget

Ok Thanks

Remi Levan

Thank you for your feedback. I use CMAA 2.0 with an RTX 5080. I tested FXAA 3.1 and I did not see any difference at 4k resolution. I don't know if we notice the difference with a Radeon. It seems to me that lIja recommends CMAA2.0

MCG

it's great and thank you for your beautiful work :) just a question CSP Graphics CMAA 2.0 or FXAA 3.1 for my AMD 7900 XTX graphics card which is better FXAA 3.1 settings? THANKS :)

Remi Levan

no, it's only for Pure gamma, the settings were made on Pure gamma. However I have not tested it with LSC.

MCG

is this filter suitable for pure lcs?

zzzzzzzz

thank you for your feedback, can you give me a capture of the reflection on the road please? otherwise you can increase the effect and its saturation in "Pure config" "light" tab then you must increase "light.sun.level" and "light.sun.speculars"

MCG

The lighting at night and exposure look fantastic, but I think during the day the sunlight on the road looks really bland, I don't see any reflections on the road or stronger shadow contrast as it is in real life

Nugget

I don't use Google Drive all my links are on Patreon. If you are talking about my preset it is at the end of the post

MCG

on Google drive all files are old. Where to find a normal link?

zzzzzzzz

yes, I will try :)

MCG

here my CSP settings, make a backup of yours before https://acstuff.club/s/Rjb

MCG

yes, it is planned :)

MCG

glad you succeeded and thank you for your feedback

MCG

i suggest you for the future version to add the overexposed effect when you are in a dark place and then you exit it in the day light (when you exit a tunnel for exemple) it is a feature that adds a lot of immersion

puremasri

I would like to get the settings closer to yours, so could you please tell me your CSP and video settings?

TomFunky

do you plan to make a reshade with that ?

puremasri

Thanks to all the instructions, I was able to exactly replicate your videos and screenshots. Awesome job!

Maurizio

check that you have copied the "extension" and "system" folders to the root of the game

MCG

I have installed the files but the new post processing filter does not appear only 1.4.1
