First of all I'd like to thank you all for the feedback on the last chapter. While some of it might have been worded a bit negatively I do appreciate it all the same. The chapter had a lot of influence from the original road map I made for the story at the beginning where the kingdom was going to be a lot darker than it turned out. I have spent quite a bit of time reworking the chapter. For this kingdom specifically I am looking to move away from noble corruption as a driving force so a lot of the chapter has changed. For the Friday chapter that was meant for today I will be getting that out sometime this weekend and hopefully it won't impact Monday at all. I would appreciate if you'd let me know if the reworked chapter fits better with the story. I was always looking to force Ajax to stop hiding his abilities in a way that didn't go against his more reclusive personality once he reached the capital so I hope this seems less like an asspull way of doing it and it doesn't invalidate a lot of previous decisions. I am also looking to show how Ajax can make mistakes and hasty decision despite them seeming logical in the moment, after all he is still a 20 year old in our time frame (close to 40 if you count Earth years but they aren't really cumulative at this point.)

He has all of his old memories, so they are, in fact, cumulative. He does not think like a 15 year old, or a 20 year old. he has 40 years of memories and therefore, he is in fact 40 years old in his mind and thinks like one.

2023-03-13 02:51:55 +0000 UTCIf Ajax is coming out of the closet, there are two things to be concerned with going forth. 1. Get the best dang employment contract (with exit options) possible. 2. Make a huge splash, so that the Royals want to become his long term backers. Even if he is signed with the Guild, it would be advantageous to have a political Big Dog to give him coverage against the inevitable sabotage directed towards him in the future. Good luck to the author in his future efforts to keep the story plot on course (and reasonably logical). :-)
