The commissioner asked me to draw up an instrument I'd never heard of before, an Arabic Oud. Researching into it I found out that it's a very funny-sounding guitar sort-of thing that has that strange bend at the end... had to make sure I got the right amount of strings on it to! They can have all sort of intricate designs on them, but I decided to keep it simple and stick the the references I was given.
Perhaps if they return I can experiment a bit more but for now I'm happy with how it came out!
