We Smashed Another Milestone.

Well, we've actually fallen a little below the milestone since we passed it but SMASHED sounds much more exciting don't you think?

So! The milestone we passed was what I thought would cover a small part of the budget that Bi-Monthly Bull should cost and now that we've finally crossed (and then fallen slightly behind again) that threshold I'm super excited to bring the series back.

If you don't know, Bi-Monthly Bull was a twice monthly series I started years ago and it very quickly became a fan favourite. It was a satire news and current affairs show where I looked at whatever was happening in the world, reported on it and took the piss out of it.

The reason why I stopped the series was because it was just way too labour intensive for me to keep running while I also had a job and because I don't think I was quite skilled enough or had the equpiment  to truly make what I saw in my head.
I was going for a Chasers War On Everything, Daily Show vibe but quickly realised how many fucking staff and the kind of budget you need to do that properly haha.

As you saw in the episode I linked, BmB had real life sketches which is something I've always wanted to do regularly. That bus sketch is pretty amateur but remains one of my favourites to this day.
As I quickly realised, until now paying a camera operator, organising extras and buying everyone food afterwards was just out of my reach at the time.

Thanks to you, I can bring this series back.

BMB will return this year, there's still a lot of things I need to do to get the series ready and equipment I need to purchase. I'd also like it to be a different set than LewReview so that there's a clear difference between them.

Because I'm gearing up to tour Australia again in March and April I need to focus on the live show instead of starting a big new series and jeopardising both but if all goes to plan, the first (or sixth technically?) episode of BMB will start late June or Early July.

I have a lot of plans for the series and am really excited to finally bring it to life the way I've always had it in my head.
