Acheron 1.4
Added 2023-09-06 13:10:32 +0000 UTC
This is the last big content patch I was planing on before the Nexus release and I strongly believe its also one of the more anticipated updates: From all the little things that Acheron was lacking the one I heard most complains about was "Where auto recovery?" - and that's an excellent question!
Patch Notes
Enhanced Auto Recovery:
Acherons auto/passive recovery features were certainly not very build out, I see you lazy people just slaving your followers through the tundra, not willing to spent a single potion on them!
- Followers can now recover either after they unload or once combat ends (for the player)
- NPC now recover after leaving the area for a while
Overhauled Exclusion/Validation:
Validation is one of these more controversial topics I see people often raising concerns about. I still believe these concerns are mostly unseasoned, I have never found anyone complaining the exclusion being too strict, did however receive various complains before I made it "this" strict.
Hence I do feel strong skepticism about any concerns raised against it. Still, I did find a few instances where exclusion can be made a little bit more precise - being "less excluding" under specific circumstances and decided to overhaul this system slightly, to offer this needed precision:
- Validation can now differ between "Assailant", "Victim" and "General" excluded targets
This means that some previously all time excluded NPC are now only excluded when they are either an aggressor or a victim as opposed to before, where excluding someone always disabled them from both positions - All general excluded locations are now teleport-excluded
- Some NPC, such as the DB Contracts, are now only excluded as Victims
- Some NPC, such as the DLC1 Keepers are no longer excluded
- The config system has been re-implemented, allowing other authors to exclude specific targets as aggressor or victim (or both) at their own accord
Detailed information about Validation and specially excluded actors can be found here:
