2024-05-03 23:50:38 +0000 UTCI've been in therapy for a few months now, and it's actually pretty cool to talk without worrying about offending social norms etc.. I don't really see my psychiatrist as my therapist, but more like a friend. He's the third one I've had bc the previous ones weren't qualified enough based on my mental health assessment. It's a great experience imo, even though sometimes it's annoying as hell

The growth and change it has helped me illicit in myife is invaluable. Along with psychiatric care I have what I never knew could exist healthy emotional regulation. Even now I am unemployed, fired, terminated. Yet I am calm in control and still loving life. Therapy is great yet you gotta put in the work. As my favorite scene in Bojack horseman states "it gets a little bit easier everyday, but,you gotta do it every day"
