So, a shop dropped a new model and the model marketing is #notgreat. I wanted to talk about it cause it.... opened the door, so to speak (That's a legal joke, I'm fucking hilarious), to talk about the parts of the recent case that have left me bothered in the aftermath.
I feel like this is a discussion on.... optics, intention, art, spicy social issues, accountability and how we interact with them. Theres more in here; It's very much a rambly wander through the woods of "What the fuck is this?" and me wanting to talk about how men arent encouraged enough to come forward when they experience abuse and how its a massive disservice to everyone. I kind of got lost in the weeds a bit.... come along?
I feel like I came away from my thoughts here with more questions regarding problematic content.... which is a topic that is close to my heart for personal reasons *gestures at her small little bubble of filth that we are all sitting in*.
I also feel like.... a lot of stuff that happens in the Fantasy Dong niche isn't always super well documented or easy to find and this is just one take on what has happened here.
Because this is a moral issue rather than a quality issue, I cant really say "Dont Buy This, Its Not Safe" but.... the attitude that drove the design doesn't feel very safe. Shop at you own discretion, I think. That's the one power the consumer has in Capitalism, and there are so many great shops. Again, Howling Horrors handled their oopsie in a really graceful way, so, it can be done. Why not support shops that are creating positivity rather than one that puts out something with such.... cruelty behind it?
Just... how unfortunate....
Vilicious
