Added 2021-11-10 14:00:11 +0000 UTCOkay, you like the serious stuff that I fall into sometimes. So, I'm giving myself ONE a month. In all honesty, this one feels a lot more ramble-y than usual, but whatever; It's kind of a complex topic, you know?
The general question I'm trying to figure out is "Is it right to tell someone who loves you that they deserve better?" or "you make them happy if they love you, so even if you don't love them, is it right to deny that happiness and claim it is for their sake?"
So I wander off into the forest of thoughts on that one for a while and take you with me. Then I get off once I realize I'm fully lost. It's fun!

Absolutely! I agree with you. And I guess, the answer I come to is, intimacy can be found in smaller doses, its just important to temper the... excitement of intimacy with realistic expectations. And like... Im *horrible* with realistic expectations sometimes, so, Ive felt that pain of it just crumbling and you cant stop it. It sucks. Its not the end of the world though....

I meant that I understand trying to find some intimacy wherever you can, instead of waiting for the one person that will reciprocate all your love. But that requires one to eat up their expectations and desires and be extremely honest with yourself.

It's good to acknowledge (like you did) that there is also love between platonic and romantic love, but that requires a mature and honest relationship/friendship that is hard when both parties are not on the same page.
