People Make Games at EGX Rezzed
Added 2019-03-28 14:08:40 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
Anni and I are going to be at EGX Rezzed next week and it'd be great to see some of you there, if you'd like to say hello. If you do see either of us, please ask for a PMG pin badge! We have a bunch to give away to say thank you for being so supportive of what we do.
If you're not at the show, this is something we try to do whenever we're at games-related things, so there'll definitely be other opportunities to grab one!

The PMG meetup
We're going to be pottering around at the show everyday, but we wanted to schedule a proper meetup on the Friday. Anni and I will both be there and hopefully, it'll also be a good chance to put some faces to the names you'll now know from here, or on our Discord. Exactly how tall is Wil in real life? Let's find out!
We're going to be grabbing a drink and probably some lunch at The Town of Ramsgate pub from 1PM on the Friday (5th April).
It's about a 10-minute walk from the show. You can find the address/directions here: http://townoframsgate.pub/
I imagine we'll be there for about an hour or so. Please do pop along if you can!
I think Anni and I are pretty easy to talk to, so don't worry if you feel like you won't know anybody else there. We love talking to people. Just ask Anni about sea slugs and you'll be set.

Live interviews with cool game developers
As well as wandering around the show and playing a bunch of nice games, I'm also going to be on the EGX Live stage each day. This is also where you'll find people like Eurogamer and Outside Xbox doing some fun streams - check out the full schedule here.
I was asked to find some interesting devs to chat to and so I've done just that. Here's what the schedule looks like:
Thursday @ 1.30pm-2.30pm - Wargroove
I'll be playing Wargroove with Rodrigo Monteiro, the game's Technical director. We'll be going head-to-head while chatting about the game's launch, Advance Wars and why they decided to let the dogs run away rather than die after losing a battle.
Friday @ 3pm-4pm - Sunless Skies
This time it's writer James Chew from Failbetter Games to talk about the incredible world of Sunless Skies. This team has some of the absolute best writing in games, so this should be a proper treat.
Saturday @ 1.30pm-2.30pm - Phoenix Point
And of course, it wouldn't be an EGX show if I wasn't, at some point, interviewing Julian Gollop. The creator of the original X-COM will be joining me with a build of his upcoming turn-based, alien invasion-thwarting, Phoenix Point.
If you're not going to be at Rezzed, these interviews will be streamed on one of the official EGX channels. I'll share some links to that when I have them.

See you at the show!
