Added 2021-02-02 03:08:29 +0000 UTCMy god is it refreshing to work in a sketchbook again! As of the last few months, pretty much all of my work has been done digitally. Generally the very beginning step is a super rough drawing but everything else is good ol' Photoshop. This weekend I decided to sit down and give my neglected sketchbook some attention.
Damien, as he appears in his origin story and not the fun half-reality of the sexytime comics, lives in a city carved into the side of a mountain. Dwarves did it but they weren't paid the best so it's pretty rocky most places and a lot dangerous all over. Most people choose to live on the Strip, the widen road that makes for easy travel, but it is quite crowded. To those more adventurous, the Cragg has a great many places to explore, and Damien has quite a wanderlust.
I was drawing out some ideas for a rope that would be attached to his person, perhaps in a way to hide it as people can be suspicious of those who like to climb about. Also maybe having some hooks on the arm and hand, and teeth on the shoe tips. Clothes gotta be tight so they don't snag on stuff, also Damien is vain and wants you to see how good he looks, heh.
Ok, next comic page is taking me a wee bit longer but Imma get it up cuz I'm possessed!
