Ho my goodness Damien is wearing clothes!! Are you feeling okay buddy??

This here shows Damien relaxing by one of the few friends he has from his home town, Gerk the Goblin. Although Damien is certainly good looking enough to mingle with those hailing from a higher class, he preferred the company of those folks of the alleys and backs of bars. There was an honesty about them that he always admired, dirt and dinginess be damned. Gerk is one of those folks, an extremely mouth goblin with little man syndrome. Being little in a world of big people is tough, and he's had to get even tougher to protect his business of trading quirky good from across the plains. They both hailed from Cragg's Den, Gerk being so kind as to lightly stab one of the boys who was chasing Damien that fateful day. How could they not become friends after that?

I've only got one page done for this interaction, I like to draw little scenes out and see how characters interact. Sometimes they can surprise you!

And OH MAN lookit those early sketches! I'm not sure when I did these bad boys exactly, probably 5ish years ago? It feels like sculpting sometimes, as if the form is in the paper already and is just waiting to be carved out with pencil. Damien was like that, he came about pretty quickly all things considered and has been haunting me ever since.
