They likely aren't higher core cultivation. His cultivation is already high for demi-god... "normally". I doubt many (if any) of these "kids" are at the 5th stage.

2026-02-25 01:22:28 +0000 UTCI'm curious as to why Elijah is physically smaller than most other dragons. Are they just higher in core Cultivation? Or is it something more intrinsic to his type of dragon/ not being born a full dragon and thus having grown less.

2026-02-24 20:13:10 +0000 UTCHm. If, as many others already think, the seeding for the tournament is influenced by politics. I could see Kirlissa influencing in the opposite direction. Making sure Elijah would be ranked a bit lower than he should be. We also don't really know how all the tested aspects are calculated in to the seeding. Does it just look at pure numbers. Or go more in to detail. As we have already seen. Not every one on the same cultivation rank is equal.

2026-02-24 17:41:26 +0000 UTCHis sense of strength is all skewed out of perspective. They don't feel strong to him, but he's used to fighting beings so far above him that these kids don't feel that potent. They're probably amazingly strong by most demigod standards.

Also weird that the whole tournament for the entire, multiverse spanning Empire seems to be taking place here in Prosperity’s backyard. How fortunate for her growing son.

2026-02-24 16:35:58 +0000 UTCI’m shocked those two were seeded so high. It could just be politics but Elijah noted them as not that strong so either his sense of strength is off, they have tricks up their sleeve he isn’t aware of (very possible), or the aforementioned politics (also possible)

2026-02-24 16:33:11 +0000 UTCHrm. Couple things in this chapter feel out of place to me.... Iirc didn't Nerthus say Elijah being a dragon and a druid was more or less unique? I can't go back and reread since, you know, they're on Amazon and I didn't join the Patreon in time to download as a PDF, but I am almost certain Nerthus was under the impression that Elijah was somewhere between nearly unheard of and completely unique for being both, and while it's likely Nerthus was uninformed it seems out of place to not acknowledge it. Also it just feels off to me that Sara's bully/stalker is the first place seed. Maybe it's like Kaelari mentioned and it's just politics, but how are people who are Sara's friends from the academy so highly ranked? Isn't Sara just an Ascendant? I understand she isn't a combat class, and administrator archetypes level slower, but it just feels odd that the top seed isn't a max level deity with good foundations and backing working on their legacy for ascension. I mean, maybe that is what he is, but then why was he in/near the same Academy class as Sara? Something about it just doesn't feel like it lines up to me.
