Added 2025-04-12 23:43:43 +0000 UTCTo date, I've blocked exactly one person on this Patreon. I've blocked less than ten on Royal Road (and if you know anything about how toxic that place can be, you'll recognize that's a low figure). But I just had to block and delete the posts of an obvious troll.
I don't care about negativity. If you don't like something about the story and want to say so, that's fine. Sometimes, it can even be helpful. However, this instance was different, largely because the comments weren't there to prompt discussion or do anything constructive. They were clearly meant to incite outrage and annoy people.
I banned this person and removed their comments, which isn't a habit I want to make. Trolling like that won't be tolerated. If you do it, I'll block you.

I get you, as author, have final say but when 10 other come asking for a head- all giving a hefty patron reward... usually the author gives in. Money talks, BS walks as they say. I'm ambivalent without knowing what was said. Only that denying patronage is refusing money. You should consider unblocking them in 6 mos or so and see if it was ghost or what not. The worst of them don't use their own accounts to create mayhem. Could be you blocked some sucker with poor protection.
