The bread and butter of having a successful Dom/me journey, SW journey, or SB journey is your content and photos. The clearer the better. The more focused the better. The more creative the better. Here are some tips I use to take good pictures, all on my PHONE. Yup, you don’t need a professional camera to take good photos.

1. Make sure you have good lighting. This can be accomplished by purchasing a ring light that you hook your phone to, or by using natural light during the day. Lamps can also work. You want to make sure that you are behind the light, never in front of it. For example, I would point a lamp or light towards my face and body, but I wouldn’t stand directly in front of it. Get creative: maybe try out different color lights. You can purchase these kind of bulbs on Amazon.

2. Work on your angles! Different angles work for different body types. If you have insecurities about certain parts of you, work on making those angles look phenomenal. For example, I have big eyes, so I try to take photos where my chin may be more angled. I also love my butt so I always accentuate this in photos. Practice in the mirror.

3. Stay away from blurry photos. I try to use portrait mode on my IPhone, which automatically blurs out the background to put me in focus. You never want your background to be more distracting than you. Try to remove clutter as much as possible.

4. Use photo editing apps to smooth out imperfections or errors. Add filters to bring different looks to your photos. My favorite app to use is the free version of Facetune, as I love their filters and smoothing options. You can also clean up your background.
