Added 2020-05-07 00:20:19 +0000 UTCFor most of us, SW can be something to just bring in extra cash, but for some of us, it’s a way to build a potential brand. For extra protection with payments and operation, I’d recommend registering as a LLC.
When filing, check with your state with the cost as costs vary by state. Register as a “content creation” business or “event production”. Filing fees are to be paid yearly and you even get an address assigned to your LLC that doesn’t have to be your personal address.
An EIN number is also beneficial when it comes to filing taxes. You would file under that tax number as it is your "employee identification number."
Having a LLC can also protect payments on processors such as PayPal Business accounts; helping against chargebacks.

I've heard "entertainer" be used even though it's kind of vague, wanting to know so when tax time comes around I can still deduct sex work things from my business expenses at the end of the year.
