WRITING ADS FOR FETLIFE

 When it comes to Fetlife, you should be utilizing every resource available to use on the website. The most productive resource to use is posting your ads in different groups to attract potential subs or dominants, whether lifestyle or for professional paid sessions. (Remember, only discuss money on offline apps, such as Kik or a Google Voice number; Fetlife does not condone sessions in exchange for money and you could potentially have your profile removed after one warning). Here are the steps to creating a successful ad:

· Find the right group to post in:

This can be done by clicking the ‘Groups’ tab at the top of the Fetlife webpage. You can even narrow your search down to the area you’re in, for instance “New York Subs”, “Georgia Classifieds”, “California Play Partners”, etc. If you want to get even more selective, you can search by categories, for example “Black Dommes for White Subs”, “Findom Paypigs”, “Foot Worship Subs”, etc. Try following other Dommes/Doms or Subs to see what groups they are a part of.

Once you find the perfect group, you will click “Join Group”. BE SURE TO READ THE GROUP’S RULES BEFORE CONTINUING. You do not want to be in a group that doesn’t align with what you’re looking for. Some groups will explicitly state that they don’t allow postings that involve money. Read the rules carefully as one mistake can have you kicked out. 

· Write your ad:

A good ad on Fetlife should contain your “scene name” (the name you go by as a dominant or submissive), where you’re located, how much experience you have, and what kinks/fetishes you are into. Only put down kinks or fetishes that you have at least some experience in. If you’re afraid that you’re so new that no one would want to interact with you, try saying “Experienced in my favorite kinks more privately, but finally open to sharing these experiences.” 

The ad should be descriptive but not too drawn out or long. You want to capture someone’s attention right away. You can then end the ad with telling interested people to reach out to you via messenger. Here’s an example of an ad I would write:

“I'm Mistress Marley and I'm looking for an obedient sub to prove themselves worthy to be in my presence (though we all know you’d have to work extra hard for me to even THINK that you’re worthy). I have 3 years of experience training novice and veteran subs to my liking and I am very attentive to my servants while in session. I am interested in:

Face Smothering

Feminization

Water Sports

I am located in the NYC area, but I don’t host. I prefer dungeon spaces over hotels. All subs must be screened by me to move forward with booking a session. ."

Send your ad and wait!

If anyone is interested, they will message you. This is when you figure out who is worth your time and who isn’t. If they message you asking questions that you clearly answered in your ad, this shows that they didn’t care to read your ad, so it’s best to ignore these kind of timewasters. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, remember to BLOCK AND GO.
