ETS2/ATS Lighting Improvements - Supported Game Versions and Delay

Lighting mod is almost ready to release. I had some work to do and also made some changes to make it better so I'm a little bit late again, I'm sorry about that.
Today ATS got 1.54 beta update and ETS2 is going to be updated soon. With 1.54 update there are some shader changes which doesn't work with lighting mod. I need a few days to prepare shaders for 1.54 version then I'm going to release lighting mod test version.
Because of the changes lighting mod is going to support only 1.54 and newer game versions. (Edit: There is a high chance I will also make it compatible with 1.53)
I'm sorry about the delay, I'm trying to release soon as possible but I also don't want to release anything broken so it takes a little bit longer than I expected.

2025-03-06 12:03:28 +0000 UTCscs "new release" means nothing but big new problems! and every scs "new dlc" means nothing but another copy/paste map with new name. Until scs will change the game engine and really update something in these games, the most intelligent approach is to stay in what you have better "working". So I suppose many users whom really understand these games functions will keep staying in 1.53 for at least 6 months or even more after the "new release". Now, I'm interested to know this: if you will make your "Lighting System" for 1.54, will this work in 1.53 or not? Thanks and best wishes!

2025-03-06 11:19:51 +0000 UTCThat was also my thought. 1.53 is as stable as it's gonna get. While 1.54 will have it's issues from the start, as the case with every new ETS2 update. So releasing it for 1.53 would make a lot more sense.

I doubt I'll run the beta anyway, there aren't any under the hood improvements or gameplay changes worth jumping to the beta, continue to work your magic 😉
