i have to incline for day/cycle, the game is so beautiful when you drive on those towns during night time, especially on DLC GREECE or BALCANS, the did an amazing job on GREECE villages.

wow! the cloudy weather images look very realistic!!! I love them! but I wouldn't like to miss the sunny days! I hate that in the original version of the game when it rains there is sun, and that there are no cloudy days without rain, does this happen to me?

Can you make overcast weather but with night-day cycle? that would be my ideal vote, just day is not very realistic and even boring...

I hope it will be a separate thing from the TAA that I use because personally I am very satisfied with the game as it is, losing the sun with all its atmospheres and night driving is not at all my cup of tea, so if it is attached to the TAA without the possibility of deactivating, you will lose my support for sure.

I'm probably going to make overcast first and probably add day/night cycle later if there are enough requests. Because I feel like people doesn't understand the difference its going to make in terms of realism :/

personally i prefer driving overcast just feels more realistic never liked ats sun lighting it just doesnt look realistic and makes roads go whitish in colour ...btw great work snowy and loving the new ovecast pics keep up the amazing work youve brought ats and ets to a new level cant thank you enough

I still think it's worth keeping the day/night cycle, especially to have mornings/evenings and keep the long rides feeling long, but I wholeheartedly support the removal of the sun and keeping the weather to overcast only! Hopefully that could be a good alternative to leaving sunny weather in if people don't come around after checking out the screenshots

It looks fantastic Snowy. My concern is, with such limitations you will lose potential guests/customers. For example, If I were new to ATS and I saw PNG, JBX and Kass' weather mod as options and saw yours. I would have to go with one of the other 3 because they offer the full variety of day/night and weather. It would be a shame because unlike the others you offer unique mechanics with your plug-ins like advanced AA, lighting and trees. Would be a waste of assets imo.

Sure but I think when I make both options most people are going to use overcast option even they don't think they are going to now because realism difference is going to be huge. I think I can release overcast version first and add day/night cycle later.

I think this is a case people needs to see it first instead of thinking about it. I think this a perfect way to get most realistic looking game. And I want to focus on it because there are lot of ways to make overcast weather look different and interesting. I just added screenshots a few minutes ago so probably most people didn't see it :/

Also, wow do those example screenshots look great! I'm playing in VR and would love to have that experience, especially if that doesn't come with any major performance hit, surprised to see little to no support on this opinion

I don't care about performance as long as I can reach 60fps so just go for the normal Day/night cycle as only overcast would be too depressing over time. lol

Honestly, I'm totally on board with removing the sunny weather and chose "Overcast Only" out of the two, but I also enjoy driving at night and, most importantly, I like the feeling of driving in the morning or evening. So, a perfect option for me would've been keeping it overcast only with day/night cycle still present, basically just limiting the weather variety. Maybe that's why the Day/Night option is winning atm?

PBR Project looks very promising. I think you should continue it as normal and have this secondary idea as an option.
