After reading this little snippet again, you start to wonder things like:
1) If GG is from a tough city like Ironville and her parents are convicts, how does she know about which cake is the best for courtship?
This was sort of meant as a play on the Japanese version of Valentine's Day where the female gives the male chocolates.
However, it sort of suggests either she learned cooking of her own accord or it was taught to her by someone and all of those subtle niceties as well.
Yet, as sophisticated as she sounds for a brief moment, she dashes it in true GG fashion.
I was really pushing the Gradius being aloof to a new degree that i had to vent the viewers' frustration with the sub text!

2017-07-10 16:34:43 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite scenes in the story. It solidified GG's cuteness and the overall girlfriend-then-wife material that she is. As we will learn more about GG's backstory soon, I would like to say that I can see her being raised by her grandmother or aunt when her folks either disappeared and/or died. With Granny or Auntie likely being of traditions, taught GG how to cook and what it took to being a proper woman, something that she didn't take to 100% but did take a good deal of it, like the cooking. This didn't help her with that one beau that hurt her so, but since Gradius came into her life, she's willing to try again...especially being the bane to Grad's Mom.
