Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓢eventy-Six

Hi Lusties:) This has to be one of my favorite chapters so far. I'm so excited to debrief with you all.

The start of this chapter was a little sadder, especially with how affected Monroe was by everything. Some of you asked my opinion on the last chapter, and I will say I agreed with Liberty until she introduced Ro as her therapist.

Liberty also knew the truth about the Maricel situation at some point and was introduced to Eliza. Her inner monologue highlighted that she would tell Monroe once she met Eliza, since it was now okay for her friends to know, but they were in New York, and a lot was going on.

Still, Liberty definitely had an opportunity to tell Monroe sooner rather than later.

The really messed up part was how Libs introduced her when Monroe was so accommodating in New York. If the roles had been reversed, Liberty would've 100% been distraught, and I know a lot of you would've been too. Some of you even thought Monroe was going to try to hide her and hated the idea of it.

At this point, I can fully agree with how Monroe feels, especially since her actions weren't reciprocated.

The way Monroe still turned around and held Liberty that night really proves how much she cares about her, especially knowing she was still hurt over it.

Liberty immediately made the biggest effort to fix it all the next day. Zion's reaction was probably the realest one given all of his questions, but we also love how he supported immediately.

The gesture Liberty made for Monroe and her reaction to it all were hands-down the best part of this chapter. Might I say one of the best moments in this book? Even their confessions, how Monroe admitted to doing so much more than just getting Liberty. Even Liberty's eyes being her favorite shade, or her voice making the static go away? It was genuinely the most intimate thing ever.

Also, Zion and Sarai showing up with wine was probably the most hilarious thing, knowing Monroe doesn't typically drink. She decided to tonight, though, which was cute since she clearly wants to go the extra mile with her friends.
