Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓢ixty-Nine

The opening scene was definitely the best moment in this chapter, especially with Liberty teasing Monroe.
Liberty did learn her lesson, though... sort of.
Monroe biting her shoulder was so UGH. She has our girl Liberty marked up😭
Also, Monroe wanting to skip dinner and play with Liberty for a few hours was insanity (in the best way, of course).
How do we feel about Liberty waiting to tell Monroe about Sarai? Ro does have a lot on her plate, so Libby is truly trying to look out for her.
Then again, Monroe won't be happy that it was kept from her.
Let's also talk about the conversation Liberty overheard between Clarisse and Monroe. There's definitely a lot to unpack there, especially wanting to make an agreement with Liberty's mother for more lenient pharmaceutical laws.
Monroe's parents have truly planned this one out and find Liberty to be a good asset.
Do we think that's a good or bad thing here?
Monroe's father was also just as charismatic as she described, just with this weird passiveness to him.
He's probably more uncanny than Clarisse because she doesn't fake anything.
Leon mentioning Liberty's major and knowing her studies was 100% power move coded, especially when he mentioned her going into politics like Liberty's mother.
The really insane moment was when Leon openly threatened Liberty. Monroe was quick to give a "theoretical" point of view on how bad life could get by openly stating she would stab him in his sleep... forty-seven times to be exact.
Leon laughing was probably the most unhinged thing, and it left our girl Liberty trembling and trying to calm herself down for dear life.

47 is an important number and I want to know why. Is it because she’s had 47 arrangements? Have they done some to piss her off 47 times? Or does it have to do with her very first arrangements

He can get along with others if he wishes but in his mind, they're still pawns at his disposal. 📌It just amazes me somehow, that Monroe is very straightforward with her dangerously defiant statements against both of her parents. I guess that's good? At least there's no more residual fear from being abused since childhood. 📌I'm cackling at Libby's sad "im useful yay" and her eating out the beautiful woman beside her. LMAO. She's like a friend who can't be serious at funerals. 📌Also, I'm curious. Are we getting any backstory on who the first arrangement was? She seems special to Monroe still :( 📌Caviar. No Thank you. 🙊
