Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓢ixty-Six

Hi Lusties, I hope everyone's week is off to an amazing start:) Let's debrief chapter sixty-six together.

Starting off this chapter, we have Zion and Sarai—or mostly Sarai, who tried to clear up everything with Liberty. It's clear lying to Zion bothers her, but she also respects that this is Libby's business/secret, which is nice. I think we all feel for Sarai being caught in the middle of it though😭

It was so cute how Liberty got to talk about Monroe to Sarai too, we love.

Also, the phone call with Liberty and Monroe...

She should've never left out the detail of lunch with Sarai because Monroe caught on immediately. Even Liberty knew that wasn't a good sign.

Also, let’s talk about how Ro genuinely feels content with having eyes on Liberty, or how Libs reassured her over it, which was very cute.

Of course, Liberty's mother had to mess up the vibes and call her over the referral situation. We all knew she would be back, even if she claimed "to leave Liberty alone". But when it comes to her image and career, Maris always pops right back in. Especially when it comes to therapy, as she speculates that Libs will cause another public scene again.

Either way, it triggered Liberty terribly.

BUT.

We made progress in this chapter.

She didn't binge eat or make herself throw up.

Liberty decided to let Ro help her instead.

The last scene was probably my favorite out of this chapter, honestly. Monroe knew Liberty needed her, and Ro is ready to give her anything she needs. There's underlying progress here between them both.

Monroe still holds the control of this dynamic, but it's softer.

Ro wants to fulfill Liberty. She wants to replace this previous bad habit for her, which is very nice to see. Her manipulation is 100% still there because now Liberty will rely on her, and Ro knows this, but let's still call it progress...
