Chapter Debrief | Session 𝓢ixty-Four

Hi Lusties. I hope everyone's week is going well:) Let's debrief chapter sixty-four.

This one might be one of our most intense ones yet... From Maricel's plane accident to Liberty forcing herself to eat and throw up.

Or Monroe catching her.

I know some of you predicted that Monroe already knew, but given Monroe's nature, if that were the case, it would've already been discussed.

Their conversation was really beneficial in this chapter, and considering Monroe's role as a therapist, she wasn't as alarmed by Liberty's outburst last chapter, where she compared Ro to her parents.

Monroe didn't expect full maturity from Liberty, and she used it as a learning moment, which was very therapist of her😭 BUT it was definitely beneficial, and now they're on the same page moving forward.

Also, are we surprised that Monroe had Maricel taken care of?

There are reporters everywhere. Maricel's silence was never a guarantee, so to Monroe, she's not a controllable factor.

Are we in the dark part of this romance yet?

If not, Monroe telling Liberty to come to her when she needs to feel something, for sure got us there.

It's definitely not smart to switch Liberty's habit to something that is specifically provided by Monroe. It makes Liberty rely on Ro more and more.

Clearly, we're getting deeper here, especially as we verge further.

The father backstory was also insane. Having a child just as an investment to secure an heir for your company is sickening.

Or Monroe's parents using her psychology route to weaponize her against competitors.

Even the "I fix, I don't break" quote was sad, especially since Monroe still repeats this to this day. Refusing Ro a therapist and throwing medicine at her problems was also sad as well.

Let's not even imagine what her life was like on any of those pills.

AND THEN, taking Liberty to New York???

That's the real plot twist here.

Then again, Monroe is too controlled to leave Liberty across the country to handle business in New York.

Celia is too unpredictable, and Liberty is struggling with her own issues. Ro was not about to leave her behind.

Anyway, this chapter was very juicy, so feel free to drop all your thoughts and opinions below. Book club is officially in session, Lusties💗

I figured Maricel had to go. I also feel like Monroe saying if she needs to feel pain come to her make sense. She low key enjoys that pain that Monroe inflicts on her. Im also in denial and I’m rooting for their love.
