Regarding chapter forty, my favorite part is when Monroe grabs the jar of BlowPop's for Liberty. It's a small detail, but she always makes an effort to keep Liberty's favorites stocked at her house, like the Dino nuggets for example.
Another highlight was Monroe nearly losing her calm for once, which was interesting. Especially her lengthy silence (It felt like she was trapped in her mind, as Liberty said).
Also, what do we think about Liberty feeling bad for Kaia/still trying to protect her?

i love the way you broke this down. it’s definitely interesting to see monroe lose control on occasion, especially since she’s a naturally controlled person

2025-04-08 02:00:57 +0000 UTCSince we are all aware about Monroe’s OCD, we are beginning to see who she is a bit. There are a couple of instances when she had a moment of “out of control”. First when Libby got drunk and Monroe picked her up which she received a blanket from her. Second, when Libby went to her office and we learned about Monroe working with the govt. Third, when Libby broke down due to the severe punishment and Monroe rushed to get home. Fourth the recent when Liberty got bruised and how Monroe lost her cool twice on this chapter. All of these issues are caused by Kaia and the problem solver is Monroe which we were well-informed that she tends to fix anything. Since Monroe has a connection on the university where Libby attends to, I wouldn’t be surprised if she will have someone like a professor to watch out on Libby. Although it’s funny how she wants to exploit Kaia to study on a different state to eliminate the problem, when we do not have an idea yet why she moved from New York to Seattle.
