I want to clarify that my characters are not good people. Their struggles and behavior shouldn't be romanticized, especially in this book. Some of their actions or decisions they choose to make won't be agreeable, and I want to clarify this beforehand to avoid comments criticizing them or my writing. These are not good people, and there will be a lot of instances where you genuinely hate them. However, I will be blocking users who feel the need to comment rude or demeaning things about this book or my characters.

I also want to clarify that every sexual instance between my main characters is consensual. Aside from this, non-consensual themes will occur throughout the book, so please do not read this if that triggers you. There will also be "kinks" present in this book that you may disagree on. I highly recommend reading in private, where both hands aren't required on the phone—as I know what you all are really up to.

There will be age gaps present, which is a first in one of my books, so I'm very excited. To clarify ages, Liberty is 21 years old and Monroe is 31 years old, so there's a ten-year age gap between them. If this makes you uncomfortable, I highly suggest not reading this book.

Another thing to add is that this story will be completely realistic. For example, if something traumatic occurs or a character has to relive past trauma, I won't be skipping past it. Realistically, serious themes like these take time to move past, and in this story, the time lengths will be as realistic as possible. If you are impatient with things like this or want to read something that sums instances like this up quicker, then I recommend reading a different book.

Also, while this book is centered around a therapist and therapy, I want to clarify that I am not a licensed professional. The events and dynamics in this book do not reflect actual therapeutic practices and should not be considered an accurate portrayal of therapy. The actions and behaviors depicted within this story are purely fictional and should not be used as a reference for real-life therapy or professional conduct. A lot of things that occur within this book also wouldn't be professional if you were a therapist/patient to a therapist.

The last thing I want to add is that this book will be a slow burn and also psychologically manipulating + toxic. You might feel a lot of what the main characters feel, but to a deeper degree. I apologize in advance for the ups and downs this book will put you through.
