More changes to Patreon Exclusive content...

Okay, so a few things have gone down over the past few days and I've had time to think. Instead of releasing all exclusive content at the end, it'll be every 3 weeks. I went digging around and found that this is the time allotted by EA for content to be behind a pay wall. I don't want to be one of...those...creators. I want my Patreon to have a pull but I want people to enjoy my content as well.

Thank you for understanding!

Final thoughts

Okay, so this is sort of expanding on why I shorted my exclusive content time from a month to three weeks. I'm not sure if anyone here has heard of this website called Down With Patreon. It takes CC from Patreon creators who take advantage of having their CC behind a paywall for over-extended periods of time and gives it out for free.

In all honesty, I don't see much of a problem with it. If a creator wants to be greedy, there are consequences and backlash for it which is understandable. However the beginning of the week, the owner announced that they were shutting down the website because of harassment, complaints and DMCA take downs from....certain CC creators who I won't waste my breath naming.

I find it completely unacceptable to harass, doxx, ddos, or threaten someone no matter what they're doing but it came to a shock to me to find out that that is what some of these...creators were doing. I'm sorry that the creator of DWP had to go through this on top of complaints from the community that she was providing content to. I only hope that people learn that these behaviors are completely and utterly wrong in any capacity.

As CC creators, the minuet our content is imported into The Sims 4, we no longer reserve the rights to it. Meaning the DMCAs that these creators file don't have a leg to stand on legal wise. When they are filed against people who share pay walled content, it is a form of lying and attempting to scare someone into compliance. I am whole heartedly against this and I hope that one day EA takes action against creators who abuse this system.

So if you want to share my content with other people to enjoy? Then go ahead. All I ask is that credit is given to me.

Gosh, this was a long one and  I'm sorry for that. I'm also sorry for holding you for so long. I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for reading!
