I can't see anywhere to post suggested films for review so I'm doing it here. I like how respectfully Kat reviews older and foreign horror films and wish for more of these.
Ten older (pre-1965) requests:
Phantom of the Opera (1924)
Pandora's Box (1929)
Dr Jeykll and Mr Hyde (1931)
Island of Lost Souls (1932)
Cat People (1942)
Dead of Night (1945)
The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957)
Peeping Tom (1960)
The Innocents (1961)
The Haunting (1963)
Top priority: Cat People.
Ten foreign film requests:
Possession (1981)
Les Yeux sans Visage (1960)
The Vanishing (1988 - avoid the atrocious Hollywood remake)
Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)
Daughters of Darkness (1971)
La Casa sin Fronteras (1972)
Zombie Flesh Eaters (1979)
Witchfinder General (1968)
The Brood (1979)
Singapore Sling (1990)
Top priority: The Vanishing
Warning: the first and last of these are more 'out there' than usual fare!
And ten random others:
Miracle Mile (1988)
Videodrome (1983)
Martin (1977)
Fortress (1992)
Seconds (1966)
Rosemary's Baby (1968)
Pitch Black (2000)
Repulsion (1965)
Death Game (1977)
The Wicker Man (1973 - again, avoid the remake)
Top priority: Rosemary's Baby (with Seconds appropriately second!)
Toppest of top priorities: The Vanishing.
I live in hope - but not very much....

"The Haunting of Hill House" and "Bly Manor" have both been adapted from novels into film:
"The Haunting" (1963) and "The Innocents" (1961). They're two of the greatest supernatural horror movies ever made are deeply unsettling and genuinely frightening. You could compare them to the shows. Since the movies are pretty faithful to the novels, you can appreciate Flanagan's remix of these classic books and movies.

That totally is an AI-lookin thumbnail.
Yes you should watch Weapons, no you should NOT watch Weapons with a guest (it messes with the "vicariously scared with Kat" dynamic when you watch movies with a guest.)
If you want to watch a movie with a guest, watch the ones that aren't actually scary with a guest. Like Terminator 2 or Van Helsing would have been fine with a guest.
I have recommended things like Terrifier and Martyrs to you, knowing that you are tough enough to survive the experience and come out stronger. Having said that, I really DO NOT think that Paranormal Activity, particularly the first one, will bother you like The Strangers or Lights Out did, it's not that kind of movie. It's WEIRD, it's not SCARY. Feel free to watch it at 3AM in the dark.
If that's the Ashleigh I'm thinking of, she actually beat you to watching 1408 in a haunted hotel by like almost a year.
