I've always loved this movie. It knows what it wants to be and executes it perfectly. The Chiodo brothers are still active in Hollywood special effects today, and were just as adept all these years ago. And you're right - the score rocks! If you haven't yet, by all means get the revisited soundtrack. The score was so loved that crowd funding allowed the composer to come back and re-record it with a full orchestra instead of the budget friendly synths he had to use back in the day. The soundtrack album is even better than the movie version, in my opinion.

Everyone wins :)

In my opinion, the big ones to do from the Universal classic monsters era are: 1. The Phantom of the Opera (1925) 2. Dracula (1931) 3. Frankenstein (1931) 4. The Mummy (1932) 5. The Invisible Man (1933) 6. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) 7. The Wolf Man (1941) 8. Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) Technically, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is not a Universal horror film, but I think it's one of the more important ones from that time period too.

2023-09-13 07:41:15 +0000 UTCOk. now I can say I have watched Killer Clowns all the way through; I have tried a few times but usually I only get about 15 minutes in. 🤡 It was much easier with a buzz and Kat's quick wit. You should play "Stephen King's Salem's Lot (1979)" or "Silver Bullet (1985)". I hate remakes, but "Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)" and "Cat People (1942)" are good. and come Holloween you need to do the Universal Classics Monsters.
