BlueLine Realistic Dispatch 2.0 - Coming Soon!
Added 2024-10-20 22:02:55 +0000 UTCThe BlueLine Realistic Dispatch 2.0 update is right around the coroner. Release date will be on Friday November 1st, 2024 at 3:00pm CST
What's New with Version 2.0?:
Street Audio: I initially decided against creating audio for over 500 streets, assuming that LSPDFR wouldn't use street names. However, after testing the old dispatcher, I found that she occasionally did mention street names.
Upon further investigation, I discovered that LSPDFR's developers had only included 21 streets in the STREETS folder. I mistakenly assumed they knew best and that the game would handle other streets.
It turns out that Rockstar uses a much larger list of streets. So, I've now completed the audio for all streets. While LSPDFR originally came with 21 street names, you'll now have access to a total of 680!
Xscanner: I want to be upfront: the dispatch mod is currently incompatible with Xscanner, and it's unlikely to become compatible unless the mod's author directly integrates it with the scanner's folder. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about this.
If you're using Xscanner, you'll still hear the original dispatcher providing streets, locations, and areas. If you prefer to hear multiple dispatchers, you can continue using the mod in your preferred way.
I understand that many people may not read this information and will still complain about the mod not working. However, I hope this clarifies the situation.
CRIMES: Added more crime audio to try and capture what the callout author was intending to use. I corrected some audio that should be more precise to the callout itself. I had to adjust the audio callout to use a more appropriate police 10 code. The original callout authors seemed to favor the same code repeatedly, regardless of its actual meaning
CALLSIGN: I had ONE person tell me that certain CALLSIGN audio was messed up. Thank you goes to Bret for bringing this to my attention. The dispatch mod has been out for 2 months and I am just now hearing this issue. They have all been fixed. Point is - we have a discord for a reason, I have always been an open book for issues that you may be experiencing. If you want something fixed, I need to hear from you!
Units Responding: Despite having access to over 100 audio responses, the dispatch often favor a select few. While this might seem inconsistent, the occasional surprise keeps things interesting. To add a layer of authenticity, I've shuffled the audio file names. This means you'll still hear the familiar prompts you enjoy, but now with a wider variety of responding units. Yes, these are all real recordings, hand-picked from a live police scanner feed (thanks to my Broadcastify.com subscription!) to create a more immersive experience.
More?: Yes, there is more information but now this is getting too long winded. I will include a demo for the version 2.0 sometime this next week!
